What would we pay OBJ for a few games?

I read he would sign a contract like Gallup’s. The Cowboys already regret that deal, so far at least. His production is what you’d expect from a Noah Brown coming off the bench.

jerry would pay him 20 mil lol but his boy will want cheapest deal possible.
So somewhere in the middle of that.
There is a reason jerry wants multi year deal, where $ could be moved to 2024

Everyone is saying sign him, but for seriously less than like 7 games or so, we're really going to shell out the bank this season for him? This year should be the vet minimum, then next season and beyond you do whatever you lure him in. Please give your thoughts......

You're choosing to only see him as just a few games,.(rent a WR) . while those teams interested in bidding for his services, are likely to sign him for a long term deal.

Jerry has been incessant that OBJ needs to be additive this year, that is the key. Jerry feels it this year, if OBJ can put us on another plane then we will sign him. Jerry looking for that little extra this year for the Tournament run. We will find out soon enough. Still not sure that we can compete with SF physically!

I don't care I'm not signing the checks.. OBJ in Dallas turns up the urgency to win. Jerry ain't getting younger..

Million a game is fine.

And the very last of the concerns I have about this guy.

His health being way before a plane incident in that regard.

I just flat out don’t think we need him.

Damone Clark has more of a chance to impact this teams fate than gimpy Beckham does.

He can want it all he wants but an aging recievwr coming off back to back acls isn’t getting it
Bingo. I just hope Jerry doesn't get infatuated with his past and sign him like he's an all pro. That's my biggest concern.

Will def be a multi-year deal.
But year 1 won't be costly.

Jerry's media pitch seems to be we will sign you multi-year but only if you sing for this year because we need you now.

I feel the real question is if we sign OBJ to a multiyear deal then what are we doing with Lamb? Personally I'm not happy with trading a 1st for Cooper and then giving him away for a 5th only to sign OBJ for roughly the same contract and then losing Lamb.

So in summary I feel it's a bad idea to let go of 2 first rounders in Lamb and Cooper for a physically compromised OBJ. And before people say Cooper left due to personality conflicts, I understand that. I'm talking on a straight draft capital, money management issue and overall health of the 3 players.

But that's what at least half (or more) of this message board wants.

I don't think they are looking at just this year, it appears to be more like 3 year deal. From what I have been seeing.

apparently I read that Jerry was willing to do a multi year deal…which shocked me considering the contracts we are getting ready to have to shell out.

Signing OBJ has nothing to do with Lamb what so ever. Any big cap hit as a result of extending Lamb wouldn't happen until 2026 most likely. OBJ would be gone by that time.

When is Lamb going to be a FA? I thought there was talk about extending Lamb after next season. I'd be much more on board with OBJ if it means we don't lose Lamb. If we lost Lamb to keep OBJ then I'd be upset. Lamb was drafted 2020 and signed a 5 year rookie contract? Or a 4 year? As long as signing OBJ doesn't screw up Lamb's possible future I'm good. Cuz I don't think we can afford two 20+ million APY WRs at one time without hurting other parts of the roster.

Lamb has 2 years left on his current deal since Dallas has 5th year option on him. By the time he hit FA the likelihood of OBJ contract expiring at that point is good

They can extend Lamb after this season, the same applies. Any extension Lamb gets starts in 2025 no matter when he signs. They don't get brand new contracts. Lamb still has to play out his 4th year and 5th year option on his rookie contract.

you are on drugs if you think ANYONE would offer him the vet minimum. And if Jerry did do that and he then signed with the Chiefs or Bills you would bash Jerry for being cheap and not doing anything to make us better.

You are too, isn't that what he got for the rams

Not exactly

Go read up on last year.. AND he has made it clear he is signing with a team that wants him for multiple years. He did the 1 year deal last year for a reason.... and he blew his knee out. He will not be doing that again..... GUARANTEED.
