What would you do in this scenario?

Well...should your scenario play out like that, all that I know is that my pucker factor would be at a 10 awaiting the decision from JJ.

The season starts and we start off 10-3 and everything seems to be going well with Romo spreading the ball around with him and Roy on the same page. week 14 comes around and god forbid Romo gets injured again and out for the next 3 games. Kitna steps in and we go 3-0 during that stretch and our offense is hot putting up 30+ points up a game.

What do you do? Ride Kitna's hot hand into the playoffs? Or risk Romo being a little rusty heading into the playoffs??

Interesting scenario. I don't know what drugs you were on to make you think of it, but kudos nonetheless.

Aikman was not ready for Detroit back in 1991. Beuerlein could have led the team to a win with a ball control attack. Instead, we went in thinking Troy was right and he clearly wasn't and the Lions weren't in awe.

I would have to say go with the hot hand. That's a tough call however.

The issue is we have Wade Phillips, who botched the Flutie/Johnson situation badly in Buffalo.

I would prefer just to not have the scenario to begin with. It makes my stomach hurt.

I would start Romo but would have Kitna ready to go

As long as Romo was 100% (or close to it), this is what I'm doing.

If it was a situation like last year with his pinkie...I may have to reconsider. Most likely though I would start Romo and see how he plays.

What if we are 5-5 with Romo, but we finish streaking to 12-5 with Kitna into the playoffs? Romo is ready to return as we enter the playoffs? :laugh2:

I'd say you need to stick with ANY qb that can take you to 12 and 5 before the playoffs.

Folks, what we have here is a classic case of premature postulation... no need to worry, I hear it's not contagious... :D

Well, knowing my luck I'd wake up before I could finish the dream.
