I can't wait to see the 3-4 in action. I'm really excited about it and thinks it has a LOT of potential to screw with offenses.

I'm also excited about Ware's first sack, I hope it comes early!

What I want to see most is Bill and Zim integrate the new defensive talent and scheme and not lose the impact of La'Roi, Greg, Dat, Al.

In other words, I want to see Fergy AND La'Roi in consideration for the Pro Bowl, and that will mean creative scheming, a fair and sensible rotation , and no blind subservience to one front over another.

If we can add and yet not subtract, we will be going places.

It's top notch coaching I want to see most.

I can't wait to see Lisa Dergan sitting on my.....oh, you meant football related.

In that case, I can't wait to see a Cowboys squad live up to their potential, buying into the Parcells kool-aid 100%. I just don't want there to be any excuses this year.

I am most excited about the prospect of a ball hawking, aggressive defense. I remember the days when it was just a matter of time before the DL would get to the opposing QB, and the sacks, fumbles, and interceptions were soon to follow.

If the team can get to that level, the offense will suddenly seem a lot more competent, regardless of who's under center.

I want to see Julius making the long runs and leaving would be tacklers in his wake. And I want to see A-Train running over people up the middle and putting tacklers on their backsides.

I want to see LA and Flo and Marco and company putting people on their butts so our RBs are 5 yards down field before they have to make their first juke move or run over their first defender. And I want to see that crew stopping pass rushers cold so that they end the play by turning (or getting up off the ground) and watching our receivers take the ball down the field.

I want to see Bledsoe hitting Witten and Keyshawn consistently over the middle and in the flats and picking the oppositions defenses apart and then slinging a long one to Glenn for the score when they try too hard to stop Witten and Key.

I want to see Ware and Burnett coming off the edge and splattering opposing QBs (yes particularly McNabb). And I want to see Canty and Spears and Ellis and Glover closing the pinchers on the opposing QBs when they try to evade Ware...or just getting there because they can.

I want to see Henry and Newman and Glenn snatching balls out of the air and taking them back the other way...or slapping balls out of the opposing WRs hands.

I want to see Roy laying slobberknockers on any WR that comes across the middle...and RBs too for that matter.

I want to see Dat and Ferguson shutting down the opposing team’s runners every time they try to go inside. And I want to see Ware and Burnett shutting them down when they try to run wide.

And Homer and Optimist that I am...I fully EXPECT to see all of that.

Man, that was so damned perfect I completely forgot what I was going to say. Ditto. Wouldn't change a thing.

Most excited to see the 3-4 defense in action.

And see if Julius will reach his goals.

Bledsoe silencing the critics once and for all, Witten shattering single season tight end records, our defense returing to 03's form, and finally reclaiming the NFC East

One other thing I want to see is CBZ sitting on his porch with a beer in his hand, watching 20 kids playing football in his front yard, and a contented smile on his lips because the Cowboys have just won their 6th SB. :beer2:

I think we can all agree that there are more things to be excited about and to watch for this pre-season/season in a long long time..... I'll be watching for everything especially...

1. 3-4-- let's get it on already! How comfortable are we? How cohesive are we as a unit? Are we flowing to the ball and making good defensive reads.

2. DeMarcus Ware. Bottom line: does he have "it". The "it" that all great pass rushers have. Does he have the insticts, physical tools and nastiness to succeed on this level.

3. Glenn, Key, Witten, JJ all on the field together and healthy. This barely happend last year.

4. Drew Bledsoe.
