What's in nightlife today?

Ok so i went out to a fancy bar/club tonight. Pricey!

I figured since the place was pricey i would be around people who had class or at least a small portion of it.

OMG was i wrong!

I consider myself somewhat of a slow person, these people i was talking to were so much worse than me that i couldn't stay in their presence for more than a few minutes without regurgitation.

I know some people here are in their 60's or older but this post/thread is for people in their 30's or 40's. My question is what are you encountering out there these days?

Are your experiences better than mine?

People are more into their electronics these days I suppose!
You might have done better by asking for their #s , and then texting them!
As far as what else is going on out there, I really wouldn't know. I mostly go out to drink!

I would of had a better night if i left at midnight. All in all i still needed a night out so from that point of view i had a good time. I'm going to the Borgata Atlantic City for the July 4th holiday and it should be a better crowd.

Truth is the cougars are desperate....there are more women than men on a whole. That's why older women ....mide 30s to 50s are loosing men to girls in their 20s .Girls in their 20s don't want drama and just want to have "fun" with zero ties, so guys in their 40s-50s are hooking up with these girls.

I was a college professor as a side hustle for seven yrars.....these girls got men my age even if they were married men..

Bar/Clubs are not classy unless you’re in a more socially comfortable setting that isn’t catering to the gen public at large of party goers. I’ve never had much fun at them myself,and always found it overhyped,and disappointing. Girls are cold,and guys are standoffish ...well,because that’s the suit of armor a lot of people put on when going out and everything is about the material,and putting on airs to see and be seen. I’m a social deviant in a losers class all by his own...so I don’t don’t give a hooty tooty and move my troops to the front anyways. “Excuse me...sorry to interrupt,but I just have to say ...you are adorable,and love your outfit.”...and I walk away. Want some advice? Don’t give a crap,smile,be social and have a good time like you’re in your own house. And (always) get in good with the bartenders,servers,and workers. That’s how I roll...sure I strike out a lot,even get ejected from the game for arguing the strike zone,but I also get on base by bunting a lot too.

You can find girls anywhere not just in bars.The key is to be brave and just ask.
Too many girls these days into older guys and it is not about money .

Am pretty much around the majority of cool spot and party scenes. Smaller bars and clubs are the way to go. Waaaaay more real,because people are relaxed and enjoying themselves...even if you’re just standing in a corner drinking a beer,and looking at your smartphone. I’m always doing that...but with my headphones on,because I only like listening to my music and not theirs. Loooool

We use to go to Trumps Taj. I literally blew out two knees dancing. My cousin and husband were visiting from Germany at the time and decided to take them to AC. We rented a limo, the whole 9 yards. Had a blast. Didn't get home till 7:30 the following morning.

My orthopedic surgeon never, in his entire career, had a patient blowing out not one, but two knees.... dancing.

Lol. That was quite awhile ago to remember the playlist, but I DO remember the song that put me down for good like a thoroughbred.

I was literally carried off the dance floor. Keep in mind, those "high balls" had me feeling no pain. (the young ones reading this will Google that one lol while the older ones, @Ranching & @waldoputty will be thinking dirty) You just can't make "stuff like this up".

You youngin's need to be staying home and putting up jams and jellies and reading scripture and leave the partying and clubbin' to professionals. A lime green leisure suit, Harvey Wallbanger and a disco ball and ole CC is in his element. And all the ladies go "Ooh La La, Let's Go Dancing".

Im married with wife and kids now...all grown up. Sort of.

But, my friends a I had an epic run in and out of the party and club scene. 4-500 people parties written up in the social pages and talked about years later. “Celebrities” showing up and having a blast. All that irrellevant stuff, that was fun at the time.

Just always reminded myself that is was nothing but a merry-go-round as far as life progress goes.
Get on and get entertained for awhile if you must, but you'll be going nowhere in life while on the ride... so be sure not stay there full-time.. superficial, shallow, whatever we want to call it. But in short term...good fun!

All those parties and women...getting handed two dozen phone numbers at a single party...hollow, irrelevant stuff overall.
No long term keepers.

And ended up meeting my wife on an airplane on a biz trip. Not phony, but real.
