Usally Jerry does something every offseason to gin up the fanbase, motivate season ticket holders to buy,
and give reason for optimism for the upcoming season.
It might be a major coaching change either HC DC or OC. Or sign high profile free Agents.
Or draft a flashy skill position player in the draft.

This year Jerry's options seem limited.

He kept Garrett, and shuffeled his coaching staff with no big changes there except hiring Linham
which I don't think is a big deal.

With being way over the cap, I don't see any bigtime free agents being signed.

And, with the need on the defensive line being such a glaring weakness, I don't see Jerry drafting
any sexy big name skill players early.

So does anyone want to hazard a guess on what Jerry will do?

Nothing major except a new quote from him soon that will be pure gold and will be added to his Hall of Fame journal. I can't imagine how he tops the 40 year old brain though..............................

Probably nothing. Unless he grows a pair and does something huge in the draft, then basically he's rolling out the same squad next season minus a couple of high-priced vets, and add a couple of wannabe's in the draft. I think he's gambling on the fact that people will show up no matter what.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Don't see him doing anything to gin up any excitement....................this fan base is about as down on the team as its been in some time, not just on this site, but on most of the other Cowboys sites as well.

Most fans see this season as a throw away and at this point there is not much Jerry can do to change that opinion.

Hire Aikman or Staubach to be GM, then Fredd is happy (thus, I will remain unhappy for a while)

I don't know about you but all that talk about needing to evaluate his role in the organization has left me one man in the mirror reference away from being all in for 2014.

This. just. feels. different. Go Cowboys!

You are right. This is it. This is the year. This time the man in the mirror answers back.

I doubt he makes a big splash. Last off season besides rob Ryan firing nothing occurred.

Holy shamoley!!
You guys now got me pumped!
I'm going to go look at myself in the mirror now!
I don't know what I'll do if it answers me though...

Or if it's Jerry looking back at me with Kazuya's avi face.
*shudder*

Hopefully enough to have an uncontrollable smile while typing that, but not so much that he'll have to sleep his regrets off tomorrow.

LOL

You mean that one that implies being smug, but clueless at the same time?

No... I think that's his normal face.
Kazuya's avi is Jerry so drunk he can barely keep his eyes open.

...
...

Wait, maybe THAT'S his normal face...
