What's more important RG1 or WR2?

Interior D that actually make a difference and it isn't even close.
DL is one of the deepest position groups in the draft you can get quality players in the 3rd and after, while WR/CB is not nearly as deep and will have to find quality ones earlier in the draft.

We have no WR2 and very thin at CB.

We will see but my bet is your will see the Boys go early on WR and CB with IDL 3rd or after.

RG.
if they feel good about hoffman starting...they'll address other areas.
WR2 is a need...but if your oline ain't right...nothing is right.
when they storm the castle...you gotta be able to protect the princess.

if we are to draft a OL at 12, it needs to be OT preferably Simmons
That seems to be the Cowboy thing to do as well....Jerry likes to go after the outside guys early on as that is where the value is. Or at least the guys who project to start inside and bump out later on.

This argument works if there is a top end proven WR out there for the taking but there doesn’t appear to be one. There appears to be no Lamb other than possibly Hunter. There doesn’t even appear to be a Devonta Smith or Tee Higgins in this draft.

Devonta Smith had 1,800+ yards and 23 TD’s his last season in college. 1,200 and 14 TD’s the season before.

Tee Higgins is 6’4”, averaged 1,000 yards and 12.5 TD’s his last two years.

Who, outside of Hunter this year, has shown this and has the talent to be a top 15 pick?

Again, Devonta Smith had 23 TD’s his last year in college. Matthew Golden had 22…. His ENTIRE career.

Devonta Smith 1,856 yards his last season. Matthew Golden 1,975… his ENTIRE college career.

Please stop.
First of all my response was to somebody else, you had to inject..

you need to let it go and you need to stop because I'm no longer responding to your post like you want me to you're trying to use T Higgins professional career against a guy who might be drafted but I'm telling you look at his college career and I'm betting Matthew Golden can have similar numbers in the pros given a shot and Devante Smith as good as he is how did he end up as the backup with the Eagles he got back up pay he's not making CD Lamb pay, so all these numbers you're throwing out from his college career versus T Higgins Pro career, you're just caught in the middle ,

you need to stop.

The whole time I've been saying it would be better to trade down to get any of these receivers You think that there's a big gap between Egbuca or TET and they're all about the same just different players that I could do similar things in the NFL if they're on the right team in the right scheme...

this Is what Google says are the top five receivers in this draft and they're all debatable but I'm telling you there's no gap depends on what you need on your team and what scheme you're going to run by that's who you choose you can choose to be hanging your hat on a Egbuca or TET And I'm trying to tell you there isn't really a gap and the only way we're going to see who's right is waiting a couple of years to see how they do in the NFL that's it...

ILL say it again, there isn't a big gap between any of these guys.. so somehow you have the opportunity to move down and get any of the top 4 and pick up an extra draft pick, you're doing very well... so they'll have to figure out who they want at 12 or they'll try to move down it may not even be a wide receiver and I don't care..

I don't care anymore it starts at 7:00 PM and let the professionals handle it...

  • Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona.
  • Matthew Golden, Texas.
  • Luther Burden III, Missouri.
  • Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State.
  • Jaylin Noel, Iowa State.

So we're talking about two backups in the nfl and you're trying to toot their horns 1 using their nfl career and one using their career in college it doesn't matter telling you when we're looking at all these receivers none of them qualify at 12 but you still have to pick the best one that's what we're all saying move down and get one you keep crying for one over the other and there isn't a big gap we'll talk about this **** in two years so leave it be let it go because I'm done with you and again I hope now they take Matthew Golden before I really didn't care

I was willing to go with the flow whatever the Cowboys pick I hope they have success but now I'm hoping they pick golden, because you're so against it....

There may be a gap… It’s between Hunter and everyone else. I wish there were more guys up there with Hunter to make drafting a WR a lot easier.

You’re probably right, there is little to no gap with the 4 you mentioned…. Because none of them are good enough to separate from the other 3. I wish there was a gap here to show us a player who looks like a can’t miss WR1.

I really don’t care if they pick Golden or not. If they do I’ll root for him like anybody else on the Cowboys. He’s not a bum or terrible. I just don’t think he’s Lamb and hope if they draft him, it isn’t at 12. If they trade back and grab him I hope they get significant assets and there aren’t better players at other positions sitting there. We aren’t desperate for a decent, not great, looking WR prospect who didn’t really have college production.

He’s never put up elite WR numbers in any season, never topped 1,000 yards or 10 TD’s. This is not a draft class with many top end WR prospects. Might be best to take a guy later in the draft that’s all.

thank you blue blood that was a good one

Show me a list of teams that drafts guards in the 1st round that’s won Super Bowls recently. I’ll wait.

For a chance to win the NFC you need elite playmakers at skill positions.

Look at the last 4 NFC representatives:

Eagles: Barkley, Brown, Smith

49ers: Mccaffery, Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle

Rams: Kupp, Beckham

Bucs: Fournette, Evans, Godwin, Brown

None of these teams had multiple picks at OG. They do have multiple weapons and right now the Cowboys only have Lamb.

But how many of those interior DL prospects historically become beasts in those later rounds? We have been taking shots with later round guys for years without success.

If a guy worthy of the pick is there, I'm not letting WR2 or any other position deter me. I can get those later or outside the draft. Heck, if another IDL is available later that looks good, I wouldn't be afraid to fire multiple bullets.

I'm trying to fix the problem. The braintrust might take a kicker cause they just wanna feed the media.

I am trying to fix the problem as well, that is exactly why I am trying to improve the biggest holes at the most important positions first.

Post of the day!!

It's like a buying a tuxedo. Buying the accessories when you haven't gotten the trousers, jacket or shoes is ridiculous.
Trading high capital for Hill or Perkins?

Where were those type of moves when they actually had sort of a shot when MM was here and there was decent depth and your better players were still on rookie deals?

They will do things to keep their head above water but not to get over the top, because they somehow think they can’t afford a down season or two…..or don’t want to deal with heavy criticism.

Can someone call up Jerry and tell him how stupid he and his organization are? Hoffman was good in his 7 starts and actually an upgrade of Martin.

IMO you can plug in a prime Zach Martin next year at RG and it doesn’t move the needle. If they draft a guard at 12 they’ve reached Al Davis status.

This team needs a desperately lacks weapons.
Which one is way more expensive to buy via free agency,?

Oh that's right.....We don't pay for real starters in free agency unless they're over the hill.
