For perfect fresh asparagus everytime, microwave in a covered dish for 2-3 minutes. Add a little salt and lemon.

When you get someone's cell phone voicemail message, hit * to skip the talking and get to the beep. (this works on the Verizon network, may vary on others)

Every man should carry a small pocket knife, everyday. You may wonder what you would use it for. Carry one for a week and you will wonder why you ever went without one.
When I was a kid, I carried a Swiss Army knife with me, and it seemed like I used the thing all the time. It's high time I head over to eBay and find me a new Swiss Army knife.

When buying a new car, ask to see the invoice and pay only $100 over. The dealer still makes money given they have what's called "hold back" built in and you know you're getting the best deal you can get most of the time.

I do that, but make sure you see the FACTORY invoice. Some dealers show you something else that has higher price on it.

I love this time. I'll definitely try it next time. Does it skip both the user's recorded message and all the verizon garbage that takes like 10 minutes? (disclaimer: exaggeration added for emphasis)

Paying invoice price is still alot. The dealers get rebates from the manufactuers. SO you might feel good about paying $20,100 when the invoice pice says $20,000, but in reality you HAVE to know what dealer incentive is from the manufacture. In reaity, they might be getting thousands back. I suggest sign up for consumer reports or something similar related to auto before you buy that next new car. Dealer invoice price is an enticement to get YOU the buyer in the door and buy.

I usually go to Kelly Blue Book and see what the dealer paid. Yes they get hold backs, hundreds of $s for parts credits, etc. You would have to be very lucky or a very good negotiator, or an "in" with the dealership to get a car for $100 over their net investment in it. Of course, these days they are a lot more desperate so you might.

Depends on economy. If you can find out that Ford is giving their dealers $3000 back for every truck they sell, and its a buyers market, you may be be able to get that car/truck below invoice. Knowledge is power, negotiating power.

Here's one to go along with the bolded part.

When you are listening to your own messages, but you need to hear something again, like a phone number, press 1 once and it backs up about 4-5 seconds. If you press 1 twice, it replays the whole message. At least on Sprint/Nextel it does.

If you have a clogged sink or tub - pour a cup of baking soda down the drain - boil 2 cups water, 2 cups vinegar and pour down the drain.

Depends on the car and the market. But, yeah, it's true that most people that don't research the costs pay entirely too much for a new car.

Haha, I was a car salesman for 6 years. We had the factory invoices and 99% of the time we'd drop our pants and let it go for $100 over before we lost a sale to competition. Dealers get incentives for how many units they sell.
