Design one play for the 2014 season based on the talent Dallas has on the O-side of the ball.

Trick play,Timing,Situation, last hope...does not matter. Any any all offers should be entertaining.

Who knows...Bet you would "soil" your pants if it went down just like you drew it up.

OP...are watching. ~tick tock~

How about this;

Late 3rd quarter, Dallas up by 21.
1-10 on the 37 yard line.

Weak I formation, power 23. Murray runs behind rookie guard Zach with a lead from a Fullback for 6 yards setting up an easy 2-4.

Play Action - Slot Post with Dez in the slot. On the other side, Witten on a dig to clear out space.

Play Action pass...but that would require us to be committed to running the ball and that has not happened more than one game at a time since JG has been HC.

Here's a play I use in Madden quite a bit that likely will never see the light of day but anway:

Fullhouse formation - Dez on the outside, Witten and Fb (if one makes the team) line up on both sides of Romo, with Murray at the rear. At the snap Dez jets to take the ball from Romo in the backfield as Witten, Fb, and Murray assume the lead block role to the opposite side from Dez. To make this work, you may also need a guard to pull, but with Dez's ability and the right timing, it could be good for some big yards.

If you need me, I'll be curled up in the fetal position under my desk.

At least once in just about every game I would send everyone deep and instruct Tony to let it fly. If he doesn't have the guy behind the Defense put it out of bounds. I wouldn't care if the pass was completed or not. I would do this to have the Defense playing back on their heels to make the run more potent by not allowing them to stack the box. If it is complete the table is set. Maybe we even score quick. If it is incomplete at least it's in their heads that they have to be aware of it.

I would usually do this when it is 2nd and short. A free play of sorts.

Third and 12, Romo back to pass, tosses it to Witten at the line of scrimmage who is then tackled fo a 2 yard gain. Punt on 4th down!

Dez comes in motion from right to left, ball is snapped, 3-step drop, you pump fake the quick out/slant to Dez to freeze the LB's and S's...they HAVE to keep an eye on Dez....then, when the pump fake is completed flawlessly, you see Escobar over in the right flat about 15 yards down the field...pass to Escobar who is hit in stride for a 30-yard gain

NOW you have to keep an eye on the 2nd TE for the rest of the game, potentially freeing up Dez in an actual slant pattern

I wish we'd see more play action, too. But you don't have to be committed to the run to have it work. You don't even have to have an effective run game to have it work, really. It just needs to freeze linebackers and safeties for just that split second.

That's one of our flaws-- assuming that you can't call play action without first establishing the run. Garrett was pretty good about it late 2012, but somehow we saw that disappear again.

My head just exploded. This might be crazy enough to work.

Yep. It's about your tendencies and not about your ability to run the ball. The players are going to bite if they really think it's a running play...even if your ground game is not impressive.

It is something we seemed to be doing a better job with in 2012. I thought play action, along with the screen game, was going to be pretty big for us last year. Then Dunbar fumbled that ball early and took a seat for however many weeks. I think we'll see more of it now, though. Along with splitting the backs out more in passing formations. Should be fun this year if the protection holds up as it should.

I would love to see something like this happen, but I know it's highly unlikely. :(

Also check this out from last year, I seen it live and thought the Steelers pulled one of out their rear end. Not exactly a trick play they designed up, but it almost worked.

Zach Martin pulls to the left, with Smith and Leary and Martin and Frederick, and a FB blocking, Dez takes a block on downfield. Murray hits a HUGE hole for a 30 yard gain. Run this several times in 1st quarter with success, even if 8 or 10 yards. Then hit with play action pass. Get things going to set the tone for the game.
