What's the bigger issue? The OC or QB

Is Kellen Moore or Dak Prescott the bigger issue with this football team?

A good QB makes things happen . plus he has had his way with the cowboys for years. Destroyed the careers of Dez, Amari and many other assistants and working on destroying Cee Dee and others. receivers are frustrated with him in oxnard but cannot speak as they know he is untouchable with that guarateed contract.
A good QB gets more than 3 points with all the assets on this team . It is dak , a cancer on this organization .

Post more. Seriously.

The QB has problems finding the open receiver. When he does, he has problems accurately delivering the ball. He's been in the league too long to think his deficiencies are correctable. Time to cut bait.

Go watch All-22 and you will get the answer. Yeh, Dak played bad on Sunday but it's hard on any QB when most of the pass play has only 2-3 receivers vs 7 defenders. Especially when the WRs are average at best.

If you look at the WRs at the top of Dak's drop, you can clearly see how bad the WRs were on Sunday. Somebody needed to be open or at least in a process of getting open at the top of QB's drop. Most of time, the receivers weren't even in their break but still running. This is the same crap that I used to complain about JG and his long developing pass routes.

What Dak should have and could have done better is just tuck it and run more when this happened. That should have at least got the defense to think about Dak and free up a defender or a two from the receivers.

It's Dak Prescott, he's finished. He'll be back in 5 weeks but it will be more of the same even with Gallup

Quinn seemingly does a better job of putting his players in a position to succeed than Moore does. Moore also likes to get too cute at times. They also sometimes go away from what's working...with moving away from Zeke against the Bucs being the latest example.

Dak has always had limitations, but the biggest issue to me more recently, is that he's been playing scared since the 2nd half of last season, and It's affected everything. And now injuries are piling up.

Supporting cast can also of course matter a great deal.

Game one against the Bucs last year (same QB and OC): Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, Wilson, Schultz, Jarwin. Cooper caught 13 passes for 139 yards and 2 TD's ... and as the #2 Lamb had 7 catches for 104 yards & 1 TD.

Game one against the Bucs this year (same QB and OC): Lamb, Brown, Houston, Schultz, Turpin, Fehoko. Noah Brown led the team with 5 catches for 68 yards, whereas he was inactive or didn't breach the stat sheet the year before!

The above is a massive difference of skill position production and talent...not to mention the difference between the two starting O-Lines!

This is a really good poll and something that needs to be discussed here

Dak is better than Moore. Moore does nothing to help Dak. Literally zero.

look at what cousins looks like a with a real offensive mind. Look at stafford with Mcvay.

I’m not suggesting Dak can reach those levels w a top offensive mind but imo Dak is better at his job than Moore is at his. However, the Dak we have seen the last 7 or 8 games, whatever it’s been, doesn’t give me a ton of confidence.

Gotta go with Prescott. NFL history is full of quarterbacks who were successful regardless of turd OC.

QB

Linehan was “horrible” once Dak got here even tho Romo had an MVP type season with him

Dak is a coach-killer
Yeah Linehan and Romo got us a Super Bowl and would've got us another if not for Dak....Oh wait, uhhh, :omg:

Dak by quite a margin. There were absolutely open receivers to hit Sunday. He missed them either with his arm or eyes, and I saw quite a few stare downs. I think he does not trust his legs much anymore because he knows he has lost a step.

Whatever is going on, I am certain that there is no saving grace. Another gifted OC will not make Dak or the offense much better without major upgrades across the board. I’m not sure the Cowboys would draft a new QB even at the top of the draft (depends on how bad the season gets and how bad Dak performs when he returns).
