He probably wouldn't have made an impact if he was healthy all year. He signed for the league minimum for a reasonWhat's the deal with James Washington? He was placed on IR August 31st and the soonest he could play is Oct. 9 against the Rams. At which point he would have been nearly 10 weeks from fracturing his foot during a practice. Reports in early August suggested he would be out for 6-to-10 weeks.
We all read in September that he was out of his walking boot, was spotted doing rehab, reports of his recovery being on schedule. Then in early October word was he still needed more time and then on the 19th it was feeling good and could return soon. On November 9th Big Mike said Washington is "very, very close to being ready". He hasn't even been designated to return yet from injured reserve. The next game for our Cowboys isn't until December 4th.
So what is the latest word on him? Will we see him this year or will he be MIA all season? Why is his recovery taking so long? At this point will he make any impact if he does finally play?
Lol, yeah the collection of plumbers hired as coaches that developed a 5th round pick in Antonio Brown into one of the top receivers for a time and Shuester into a 1400 yard receiver in 2018 just completely missed the boat in the supreme talent that is James Washington!!! Maybe we’re saving him as our double secret super weapon for the playoffs!Looking at the Steelers for valid info on receivers is kinda meh. That place has been a WR graveyard for a decade. Whether Washington works out here is still a question mark.
Not sure what Tolbert has to do with this thread. Calling a rookie we just drafted 7 months ago a flop seems illogical.Washington & Tolbert real flops
Just more proof how inept this front office is.
JW is our X factor entering post season, unless we sign OBJ.What's the deal with James Washington? He was placed on IR August 31st and the soonest he could play is Oct. 9 against the Rams. He was basically picked up on the NFL veteran minimum, but in classic Cowboy fan fashion he's been made out to be Randy Moss in his prime.

I never remember reading that anywhere at anytime.in classic Cowboy fan fashion he's been made out to be Randy Moss in his prime.

He said himself he’s good to go. The team is obviously waiting on Odell to make a decision on Washington. If Odell signs elsewhere, you will likely see JW activated the same day. If Odell does land here, he may just stay on IR until a WR injury emerges. What's the deal with James Washington?
