What's the fascination we have in throwing deep to Brooks?

Quite simply, what are the other options? Lamb is doubled 90% of the time. We have zero speed at WR. It’s just another example of an offensive gun with no bullets.
loooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

Mingo! Mingo! Chew on this for a second...all during TC we kept seeing highlights of Brooks etc...making great catches. That should have thrown up a red flag indicating our secondary must stink if these guys are getting roasted. Doesn't really matter at this point but if our D can't slow down this pathetic offense in TC how were we going to slow anyone else down?
YESSSSSSSS so when we hear in 2025 in camp how this player is lighting camp up, let's not fall for it

Deep passes are more about wr's adjusting to the ball than anything. But the guys playing for the cowboys aren't good enough to be on anyone's roster. These guys play soft, no clue how to run a route to get open, afraid to be physical coming off the line, just weak.

It reminds me of the early season 2018 WR group before the Cooper trade. But unlike 2018, we also have no RB threats either. This is the worst offense…EVEN ON PAPER… we’ve had since 2000-02. We just don’t have any weapons.

And the biggest, most shocking part of all this is our FO either didn’t realize how bad this team was equipped going into the season or knew and just let it happen anyway.
This is why I don't see us winning another game........unless there is a different Cooper Rush than what we watched Sunday

First series pre season Rush connected deep to Brooks . It’s like Flournoy showed flashes preseason then gets forgotten . I’ll put this at the lap of the QB’s throwing or not throwing to them rather then throw young receivers under the bus . Tolbert as well should have better stats .

I can't believe there's a thread on this. Brooks is the least of our problems. In fact, Dak went entire games not throwing him a single pass.

Rush probably has tried it a little more because he developed some rapport with him. That happens a lot with backup QBs who have thrown more to 3rd and 4th WRs and had some success with them in practice.

At least Brooks is tough and fights for it. Tolbert is the one who still frustrates me with the way he just watches DBs take the ball and doesn't block well. He's come a long way, but he's still way too soft IMO.

In a normal NFL organization this would result in the GM being fired. Like I said, “In a normal NFL organization”.
the only weapons are CD and Ferguson and Fergi has to stay back and help OL blocking. this is by far one of the worst OLs we have had in a while. the right side is a huge liability. I love Zach martin, but his time has come to part ways, much like Smith. perhaps a year too late, which is Jerry's tendency to just hold on for too long.

that’s the plan. We have players so under the radar that teams hopefully forget to even barely cover them
