What's the latest on Trystan Hill?

Dude was never the answer. And we took this young immature kid out of college with flags. I'm glad Rod is gone from this coaching staff. He love his projects.

He cost us so much between Taco Charlton and Trysten Hill. I often think what the Cowboys defense would look like with TJ Watt and Juan Thornhill. It would certainly be much better than it’s been.

Thanks for nothing Rod!

I heard he was being fitted and photographed for a gold jacket and bronze statue and his plane was delayed.

Rod with his mummified old techniques was part of the problem. Undersized and under perform.

Wish he wouldn't have got hurt. After flashing last year he might have really been ready to come into his own.
Don’t know if he flashed that much
But with what we have on the roster he sure would have got a real shot
And hopefully he can come in when healthy and help
But sure wouldn’t bet on it

Is he close to returning?

Will he be cut?

Haven't heard his name mentioned in a while.

I just read this and didn't see this coming:

Trysten Hill, DT
At this point, it seems unlikely that defensive tackle Trysten Hill will make the team’s 53-man roster at the end of August. Starting his first training camp under Dan Quinn on the Physically Unable to Perform list, it appears to be a strong possibility that Hill could start the regular season on the PUP list as well. But that may only delay his eventual judgment day.

Safety is probably the hardest position to find in the league. There maybe 10 good safeties in the league right now. The best safety is probably really a linebacker in Jamal Adams. I am so glad we did not give up two picks for him.
Yeah and that's why I understand the approach the Cowboys take. Hell it seems like some of the best safeties in the league are more of the mid round guys.

Hill is still a raw developmental player, now in his third year, and he may not even make this season. If they like him at all, they should see if he will extend real cheap, otherwise it doesn't make much sense for us to invest developmental snaps in a player to train him up for the rest of the league.
Showed flashes before injury last year?

Gallimore got dinged in Arizona game...opens door a crack for Hill
