the 1-15 season. i lived in oklahoma and wore a cheap white mesh type jersey every sunday after the games on the high school practice field. you see, there we played sandlot football.

i could never in my lfie throw a football, but nothing near me did i ever drop. on the other hand, i could throw the hell out of a baseball, just never a good "fast" ball.

but i caught a lot of grief for wearing the colors. but, i also got a lot of respect too. takes a real fan to find positives in a 1-15 team and i knew good things we're coming.

i moved to dallas soon after and saw us beat san deigo in game 1.

the next game i saw was emmitt agaisnt seattle. anyone wanna guess the significance of that game?

but being a fan of the 1-15 team made it all so cool to me.

I got cursed at while attending a Cowboys vs. Eagles game in Philly when I was 11. I was pretty offended and turned off by how into it these drunk idiots were. We left at half-time.

Most all the abuse I take for being a Cowboys fan happened when I was in grade school growing up here in Wisconsin. Schoolyard fights and things like that. The worst one was in 1996 when Dallas beat GB in the NFC Championship. I got beat up the next day by a kid quite a bit older and bigger than I was.
