3rd and 2 and the play call is 5 WR shotgun

I hate it when the Cowboys go with an empty backfield when down and distance would dictate run or play action. A good example was the last Giants game. Second-to-last drive (Cowboys are ahead by 4 points and can really put pressure on Eli with another TD) and Dallas marches to the Giants 45-yardline via several productive runs by Demarco Murray. Then, on 3rd-and-three, Demarco heads for the sideline... the Cowboys are going with an empty backfield. Result - an incomplete pass and Dallas is forced to punt.

The Giants then proceed to drive the ball (I believe it was 88 yards) down the field for a go-ahead TD - necessitating late-game heroics from Romo and the O-line on their final possession.

I've seen this several times this season where Linehan seems to just inexplicably abandon any threat of the run when 'down and distance' would almost surely demand the presence of an RB lined up behind Romo. They deal the opponent several sharp blows with the hammer of the running game and, once that opponent appears disoriented, promptly return said hammer to the toolbox. Leaving me simultaneously mystified - disappointed - and angry.

Most of us have followed professional football for while now. So, there is a large body of work to pick from.

What's the one thing that sets you off?.

Example; Lets take driving for example. I'm not perfect and neither is anyone else. We are human and make mistakes. I'm older so, i forgive for the most part...except for one.

You just can't pass me and then make me slow down suddenly so you can turn off...(that's the worst for me)

So, in our sport...if you cover it all from start to finish....what is your..."you just can't?"

1. You just can't.....call PI a spot foul any longer. it gives teams new life. that's mine.

Barely getting the play off in time before the play clock clicks to zero.......It hasn't been as much of an issue this season, but in prior years with Romo and Garrett, it drove me absolutely crazy......

People pulling out in front of me when there isn't a car in sight behind me. Just wait a few seconds until I pass idiots. Making me slam on my brakes for no reason.

People with no sense of where they are going.

Riding your brakes.

Not using your turn signal.

The over used and stupid term JAG.

I was looking to see if anyone else had terminology issues and yea, some people just use crutches cause they can't think of anything else to say. I wanna go remote throwing when I hear "lets see what the coach dials up here!"

dials up here isn't new, isn't creative, and is in my mind used by only weak announcers who need common verbiage to get by. same thing for "carrying the rock". anything that sounds cliché or overused, I really hate hearing it again.

Wrong. It's not your job to monitor the speed limit. By that logic any moron could "pass" at any speed and they'd technically be passing someone.

The left lane is for faster traffic. If it is faster than you than get over with the other slow people. There you won't be causing any danger to other people.

Can you determine if someone has an emergency while you're enjoying your leisurely pass? Right. You can't. Get over or stay on the side roads or better yet walk:p

You are clearly the problem and you should lose your liscense. Or possibly citizenship.

If lights aren't flashing behind me, It's my right to drive and not be stuck in slower traffic. How do they not know I have an emergency too, but I choose to arrive alive, and hopefully stay that way. :p

In North carolina...we can usually get away with 5MPH over...If you are at 10 its at your own risk and 15 over will get you a time out for about 6 months.

In Dallas if you drive 5mph over almost everybody will be passing you. If you drive 5mph under you're probably already dead.

Take the side streets Grandma. Then you can coast along to your sweet little heart's content. The highways are for skilled drivers:D.

On the subject, High Beams are another issue for me. I've been driving an hour every weeknight for awhile now and many people drive with their lights on bright. It's not that bad if they are coming at you as that only lasts for a little while, but if they're behind you, you're stuck with them and there's no way to signal to them to dim their lights.

Some cars have the extra bright headlights, I think they're Xenon. I'm never certain if they are on bright or if they're just that bright. All BMWs seem to have them.

I should go full redneck and get some of these, but turn them backwards. ;)

Lol. This threads going to be a mile long. Start a thread about what's your biggest pet peeve on a forum where complaining is the 'Soup of the day".

I'd have to say my biggest gripe is why it is so many people wanna hate.

Lack of crossing routes. Dez is a beast after the catch, I hate how they always have him pinned up against the sidelines.

could just be the newer high end headlights. however, many "boy racer" cars that had normal lights are now putting the HD lenses in their normal headlight enclosures and first, that's illegal. if you want those bulbs, get a headlight designed for it. 2nd, how the lights come at you can be varied and BRIGHT when you run into some mental giant who did this to their car.

Yes, they are the lights that look somewhat blue. They're usually on car or trucks that has add-ons or on cars like BMWs.

Many are just driver with normal headlight that are too idiotic to not turn off the high beams. Some vehicles have 1 light that appears to be a high beam with the other side on low.

I've tried letting them pass me and then flashing my lights or turning mine on high for a few seconds to see if they can figure out that they have their high beams on, but I've only been successful in 1 of dozen of attempts.

I should go with the redneck light bar facing backwards but get some of those construction lights like the road crews use that will light up a small city. Drive behind me with your bright lights and pow, right back at you. My luck the morons would wreck and kill themselves.

Peeves.

Driving: People whining about getting a speeding ticket after they were speeding. The speed limit is the law. If you break it, you deserve a ticket. Shut up and pay it. If you think a particular speed limit is too slow, you can lobby your legislature to change it, but you don't have the right to break it. Anyone going more than 40 MPH over the speed limit should be arrested, not just ticketed.

Football: The 1978 bump and run rule change. Before this, the defensive back could rough up the receiver all he wanted until the ball was in the air as long as he didn't commit another foul like holding or facemasking. There used to be no such penalty as "illegal contact," and the league should get rid of it.
