Moore is that you? They're only allowed to run the ball when it is 3rd down and long.

That first paragraph says it all.McC is not a run based HC and he fits really well with Moore and Booger's desire to showcase Prescott as one of the top QB's is the driving force.
The Cowboys were a 60% passing team and I do not see that changing. Booger did not hire either McC or Moore to be anything less than that,
And the league is also doing the same thing with the top 2 paid positions on teams being QB and WR. Teams want to be able to run it when they need to but it is all about the QB and his receivers.
I should add that I'm high on Malik Dixon, and maybe he can add that 3rd down back type dimension that we haven't had since Dunbar.
I think this offense is missing that and it would be a nice shot in the arm to add.
Other than that I expect the running game to be remarkably similar to that of 2021.
This is Zeke's last year, maybe Pollard's too.
2023 RB situation should be interesting.
People act like this OL is trash level especially when it comes to the run game however in reality cowboys finished the last season with a top 10 OL on every major analytic website. Going into the season they're still slated to be a top 10 OL. Did they struggle with run block late in the season? Yes but so did the majority of teams.
No reason with zeke and Pollard we shouldn't have on of the top combos in the league and dominate on the ground. I honestly believe KM is the MAJOR factor behind the struggle. He's just clueless with bland I can see a run coming a mile away play calling.
Dak is not the answer to winning games. Stat chasers love the gaudy stats he will put up throwing 30 / 40 time a game though.
Pollard needs WAY more touches.
he is because most of the time the blocking schemes are bad.when your RB is averaging 1.2 ypc in the first quarter you usually fall behind. And yah, you can’t and shouldn’t run as much.
Moore was at fault for certain things but not that.
bellichek, drafted 2 rb's, and I dont know what he had, but he either liked those 2,or is looking to see if he hits on a good one.I can't stand our offensive scheme with regard to formations and running the ball. Not to mention that the staff rolled with two RBs that had lower body tear injuries and didn't rest them. The fact that they did nothing so far in FA or the draft is crazy to me. Maybe they will find someone.
Jerry is that you?Hold on hold on, WE DON'T DRAFT FOR NEED!!!
he is because most of the time the blocking schemes are bad.
like if the run play is going to the right they dont block the guys on far left, and they often get the rb before or at los.
They also have guys go downfield to block lb's, and let the dl come free.
Waletzko needs to be developed. He’s not near ready to play LT in the nfl. Your depth chart may look much different after camp than today. We drafted a tackle last year who didn’t play. Does he show enough you trust him to play? Also we could add a vet OT since there are some guys out thereSo they drafted Tyler Smith and the plan looks to be he’ll backup LT and start at LG. They also got Matt Waletzko who looks to be only a OT because he’s like 6 foot 7.
The team didn’t draft a RB, but they signed two UDFAs and just cut a FB. Zeke has the knee injury from last year, which I don’t know if that gets better. Also Pollard had the foot ligament tear that also scares me, but I think he recovers. My thoughts are they need a third RB. So does that mean the running game is on the back of UDFAs or is Zeke heathy again. I don’t know if Pollard can go 17 games with 20 carries. Then you have 3 more playoff games where you really want to have the best RB getting 25 carries a game. So the 3rd RB is pretty important with the longer season.
What’s the plan? Just go as long as the can with Zeke, Pollard, 3rd RB? Also what about Tyler it seams he’s a better fit at LG. Why wouldn’t they have Waletzko as the backup or swing OT?
It's a passing league haven't you heard the news???????????So they drafted Tyler Smith and the plan looks to be he’ll backup LT and start at LG. They also got Matt Waletzko who looks to be only a OT because he’s like 6 foot 7.

I wouldn't, another year or two and he's on the decline. What we should be doing is getting TP extended now. He could be a bargain....
Moore? Jerry? Stephen's coming up shortly huh?!Jerry is that you?
Replace Conner Williams with a man( t smith) and let zeke run for 1600So they drafted Tyler Smith and the plan looks to be he’ll backup LT and start at LG. They also got Matt Waletzko who looks to be only a OT because he’s like 6 foot 7.

It’s hard when Conner Williams starts. He had tight end strength.when your RB is averaging 1.2 ypc in the first quarter you usually fall behind. And yah, you can’t and shouldn’t run as much.
