i'm not saying he is the blame for everything however, He did buy the groceries and as he says you are what your record says you are! 3 years 1 game over 500.

Well, weren't we 18 games under .500 the three yrs before his arrival?

We never should have even remotely relied on Jacob Rogers, that was a huge mistake an ultimately made us rely on a rookie at RT.

The loss of Flo is severely underappreciated.

Al Johnson is below average I don't care what anyone says.

Rivera is a mere shell of his former self.

Larry Allen is not what he once was either.

OFFENSIVE LINE.

If we were better there, everything else would fall into place, at least on offense.

We need to address youth at QB but I'm not even going to get into that, I've been preaching that for the past 2 years.

On defense, simple, we have a lot of very young guys learning the NFL and the vets we DID have in there, at least at LB, got hurt.

The whole thing makes for a bad bowl of soup.

It's going ot take some time on defense to get these youngsters acclimated to the NFL.

On OL, we need help all along the board.

Bottom line is, BP took over a very pizzpoor team and it's going to take time to remedy it. My main criticism of BP is that he is not grooming a young QB with the rest of the team.

I've said this a thousand times, this version (old) of BP is not what this Cowboy team needed. We needed a guy who was willing to be around for more than 4 years. BP wants results fast. It's a different era (salary cap).

The whole thing is a bad bowl a soup like I said.

But..........BP is here and I'm supporting him.

Name another contender that lost its starting left OT.

Flozell should hold out for more money next year. Damn, this guy went from being hated by 80% of Cowboys fans for being lazy to All World status AFTER his injury. Singleton went from being a no-playmaking bum to an All-Pro can't do without him linebacker AFTER his injury. Nobody even realized Dat was gone for five games after his injury. Injuries are just an excuse.

Flozell was not that great. He was okay.

We were all calling for Flozells head until he went down. He wouldn't have made that much of a difference.

I was a very staunch supporter of Bledsoe from his Washington State days. We would not have the record we do without him.

I agree with you. A better QB and Dallas is 9-5 or 10-4. Please, please, please make a run at a "bus driver" that doesn't think he's a "F1 driver". Jon Kitna anyone?

This may have already been posted but I don't have time to pour through the whole thread.
Jerry Jones bet, correctly, that with parity in the NFL the best coached teams would have an edge.
He went out and got the guy arguably perceived as the best head coach available and one of the best of all time.
Unfortunately that coach, who himself called the NFL a young man's game for both players and coaches, can't completely get the job done anymore.

Great post Wayne.

Where to begin?

Offense...

He's been very good but Drew Bledsoe is past his prime years. Whether people like to admit it or not, the better the QB is capable of playing the better the team's chances of winning. I appreciate his efforts and am satisified, but it is time to get back to a superstar QB leading this team. Id we want to go anywhere, this is a need not a want.

The offensive line fell apart when Flo went down. When the QB isn't a playmaker with his feet, this can be a kiss of death. Rivera did not completely fill the hole at RG like expceted. Was it his back? Is he too old to overcome an injury like that? Is our OL coach getting everything he can out of the the players? Lot of questions on the OL.

Lot of people wanting to say Barber is better than Jones. Tells you just how bad Jones' high ankle injury hurt this team. This was going to be his year. It never got off the ground and the offense never hit full stride without him.

Our WRs are old. Wily veterans to be sure, but at some point in time in the near future we have to address this area.

Defense...

You hit the nail on the head with the loss of Dat and Al. There is a reason why they were never pulled or benched. It's called knowing assignments.

We still need a legit FS. I believe Beriault was to be the guy, but that injury derailed that plan.

Special Teams...

We need a kicker. We need deeper kickoffs. We need to make chip shot FGs. Lost a lot of games here. It has to be fixed.

Coaching...

Simply put there needs to be a better job done. Guys are not developing as fast as players on other teams. That should be inexcusable. Babying players doesn't work. Expect them to be pros and do their jobs. Allow superstar players on this team again. We need players who strike fear in teams more than a Head Coach who strikes fear in his own players. No more excuses.

:hammer::hammer::hammer:Hard To admit but you are right on target!!!

We've become a team of excuses.......a satirical observation of myself (Cbz)

Injury here, injury there....they wrecked our season.

Our young players were not physically and mentally prepared for a 16 game schedule.

We watched Flo go down to injury & no one to replace him. , Rogers was a bust, Johnson regressed, LA getting old lazy & slow. Peterman???????who's that???????

We simply cannot pile anymore on Our rookie DL & LBs they have already been mentally strained......it simply would be too much for their little rookie brains to comprehend at this point. Therefore we must keep it simple. We will just have to keep running the same ole Vanilla D......if it works great if it doesn't.....we'll change it next year when the rooks are smarter and the coaches have had time to figure out some new wrinkles.

Bledsoe our long awaited savior, Give him time and he will lead us to the promise land. what a great arm but he just doesn't have time to throw. It doesnt matter that our OL has been needing fixing for 3yrs.....we'll get around to it.

Lets bring in Romo or Henson......by Gawd they will get the job done......they don't need an OL in front of them.

So who do we blame ....... no one. We are just going through a period of bad luck....our astrological future will not be corrected until Pluto is in allignment with Mars. Let's just face facts.......right now if that little green man threw poo poo off the Moon it would hit us right in the face. Things will get better next year..just wait & see.

Just wait Cowboy fans we will right this ship in the offseason.......Just you wait and see.

Wayne you are dead wrong......there is no way the Giants, Skins, & Eaglets will be better than the Boyz next year........no way..........................................no way.................................no way.
wooohooooo CB....wow....that was not only satirical, but also passionate and :hammer:

Yeh but Flo never gave up 4 sacks to a scrub like Phillip "I only had 2 sacks all year" Danields.

And if you go back and look at the first Giants game, he was toying with Osi Umanora (sp?) pretty much the whole game.

I wish he had that same philosophy 10 years ago.
