If not eclipsed already. I think the previous best was 89-90 season. 6 game win differential.

The '99 Colts and '08 Dolphins each had 10-game turnarounds in the regular season.

The '99 Rams improved by 9 games in the regular season, but won the Super Bowl. I'd call that one the biggest.

lol, Percy...this is in deed a year of records involving the Cowboys.

Miami going from 1-15 in '07 to 11-5 and a division championship in '08 is pretty amazing (that was the Matt Cassel year for the Patriots). Miami followed that year with four straight losing seasons, though. And the Colts, after going from 3-13 to 13-3, fell back to 10-6 and then 6-10. Only the Rams made it stick: 4-12 followed by 13-3 and then 10-6 and 14-2.

I would note that regression to the mean is the theme here (each team won 3 or 4 fewer games the next year), but if the Cowboys go 14-2 or 15-1, of course we should expect regression next year, regardless of what came before.

Yes...what were their seasons previous to the poor seasons?

Dallas went from 12-4 to 4-12 mostly because of the injury to Romo. The team had a decent core, it just needed a few parts important parts. I don't remember the make up of those Dolphin or Colt teams, but I think it is more likely to sustain the winning record because of the young talent that is propelling the resurgence.

15-1 is possible, and it would be a new record.
14-2 and we tie the record.
13-3 is still a pretty damn good year.
