What's wrong with 6-2?

I get that but is that an anomaly or a trend?

Some already have them losing their first playoff game and I am surprised they even had them in the playoffs.

Something was really off with that entire team, wasn't just a few players. I don't think it was overconfidence and a lack of prep but there are the comments about the flat practices.
Hard to tell but last couple weeks of SB talk and soaring expectations just got punched in the old bean bag. Hard. That was the team we watched all last year out there on Sunday, so it's not a huge shock that a lot of fans are all looking around nervously at each other at this point.

Fun thing is, we are going to see what happens around the league after upset weekend. Rams, Bills, Cowboys, Saints, Bengals (I'm calling the Bengals game an upset). We'll get to see which coaching staffs quickly turn things around and get their teams playing sharp and with some intensity and starts racking W's again. What do you think CC? Will our coaching staff be among that group?

Don't care about the record I care about how we bounce back this week or not

They would be the first team to overcome a surrender like that at home in the regular season to do anything in the playoffs.
Are you serious?

The Giants went 0-2 to start that SB season when they ended NE's streak. In those 2 games, they gave up 80 points and were given up for dead.

The Bucs looked awful in some of their games to start last season and went on the WC road to win it all.

In 1989, the Cowboys won 1 game. They beat the eventual champs, WFT.

Any given Sunday really isn't a catch phrase, it's real. Ask BUF, CIN or LAR.

I don't know Nate, but that is one thing I find so interesting about this. No one saw this coming, sure as hell not Vegas.

The Cowboys coaching staff has two coordinators that are in that HC search bubble and this game will be scrutinized closely by those doing the searching.

ATL put 27 on NO, a better D than the Cowboys so they'll have no fear coming into ATT on Sunday. Quinn is under fire and missing pieces and facing his old team.

What's wrong with 6-6? When we get there can we please continue to tank?

Serious - none of the historical references involve a mid season conference lead contender surrendering at home and getting blanked in regulation.

My only concern is number 4. Of course you can lose a couple of reg. season games. But not against Denver or Atlanta this year.

So let's hope it ends with Denver. Make it 10-2 now and then we can lose one again.
Yep, you want to get to "the tournament", that's the important part. However, you want to put yourself in the position that gives you the best chance of success and the two most important elements, in my opinion, is seeding and momentum.

If the Cowboys are to lose more games, let it be before December. Let them roar into the playoffs with a 4-0 or 3-1 record and not whimper into the playoffs with a 1-3 or even 2-2 record. I'm hoping for 13-4 or higher.

There's no problem with 6-2. The problem is that old familiar feeling is starting to creep back into the minds of those that were convinced this team was different.

Sure, we can chalk it up to just a bad really bad game, bad luck or whatever but every Cowboys fan had the same thought while watching that game.

"What if?"

We get a pass, as ugly as it was. Lose to the Falcons...back to back mediocre (at best) teams at home? Then we've got problems. Crush the Falcons and we're back in command.

We better beat the Falcons, we dont want to go into Arrowhead on a 2 game losing streak and no pass rush now that Gregory is gone.
