There have been many great ones and some great memories.

And of course there have been some clunkers and some memories we wish we could forget.

Here is what sticks out to me the most when I think of our Cowboys playing on Thanksgiving.

Man oh man...it's close between two iconic moments. Running outside after Garrett saved the day against the Packers, or walking out on my girlfriend after the Miami FG debacle. I'm going to say Miami, just because I can remember every single emotion that I went through for hours after.

Those are some good and bad memories. I prefer to focus on the good ones!! Tony Romo's game against the Bucs and Garrett saving the day are amongst the good ones. Little did we know then that our hero Garrett would be a terrible coach who took us nowhere!! :muttley:

That's easy... In 1972, the High School bands of the three high schools in Irving performed together for the half-time show.

Frankly, it was "magical" being there on the Texas Stadium field performing "Carol Of The Bells" for the entire Nation to experience. I think that was back in the day when Networks actually showed the entire half-time performances on Thanksgiving.

Worst memory was the Leon Lett game 1993....the only reason that I didn't go was that the tickets I had were free. Glad that we didn't go, because the walk back to the car after that kick to the nutz would have been miserable.

I went in 1991 with my older brother. After the game, we went to Denny’s for our turkey(breakfast) dinner. Aikman came in with some friends and they sat in a booth next to us, was pretty cool. They left before us and my brother stole his coffee mug, still has it to this day for some reason and he is a Steelers fan :muttley:

Thanksgiving 1974. I was 10. The day I became a Cowboys fan. It wasnt even a great team that year. But here I am!
That was the same day that the team kind of peaked my interest as an 11 year old....I became a full fledged fan the following season when Kiick, Csonka, and Warfield all left my Dolphins for the WFL.

Agree on this. All the elements of a dramatic win that day, Staubach was knocked out, Cowboys down by 13 in the 3rd quarter, and Landry inserts his rookie Longley. Tremendous game, and I hardly remember the last Heineken laced 5 minutes.

Not really my favorites but some of my most memorable. (All Wins)
1980 when we pounded the Seahawks 51-7
1981 when Glen Carano had to play and we beat the Bears by a point.
1994 when 3rd string QB Clappy Clown led us to a win.
1995 when Emmett got hurt but we still beat KC.

I gave in to my wife and family and hit our favorite restaurant for a nice Turkey Day dinner. As we were leaving the restaurant I asked a person who was working in the bar if she knew the score of the Cowboy and Miami game and she blurts out the Cowboys won!!!!!!!!!! I was all happy and couldn't wait to get home and watch highlights on Sports Center over and over again!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I almost up chucked my dinner when I flipped on Sports Center only to see MY Cowboys had lost and the way they lost the game was sickening.
But, the Turkey Day game that gave us Clint Longley to Drew Pearson against the hated Skins was AWESOME! It was like Christmas had come early and I had Sugar Plum Fairys dancing in my head as to hit the pillow that night! What a game that one turned out to be.....................
