Nah...the sequels to meatballs and dumb and dumber are far worse than Caddyshack II. At least there are a couple of laughs with Quaid playing the crazy lawyer in Caddyshack II.

Putting with a "wedgie" was a pretty good one.

Caddyshack > Meatballs + Dumb & Dumber put together.

Caddyshack is one of the all time great movies. The gap to its sequel is wider than the Grand Canyon. Funny scenes or not, it pales in comparison to the original in every way, shape and form.

Downloaded it the other day and watched it for the first time in years. Still holds up.

Most sequels are bad because they are after thoughts. The sequels that tend to be good are that way because that is what they were in book form. For instance Lords of the Ring or Star Wars were a series of books before it became a movie. Smokie and the Bandit was a fun movie who producers tried to milk more out of it than need be.

3 was awful as well and I had always thought it was worse than 2 when I was younger, but after watching them again with the 25th anniversary set, I found 2 to be far, far worse.

I know you are kidding, but Godfather III was just awful. Everyone wants to blame Sophia Copolla(she was bad), but there was a lot wrong with that movie. The actors all seemed to sleepwalk through their roles. The story was unoriginal and boring. It was terrible.
