NINE days to the start of camp! Tell us what you're doing to prepare for the upcoming season. Are you going to the HOF game? Getting the NFL package? RZ? How about Rewind? Any new Cowboys' gear or the same stuff? Has your man (or woman) cave changed? Anyone got a new TV to brag about? Or sound system?

My renewal to Rewind was automatic about $70 I think. No Direct TV for me although I'd like it. I do go to a sports bar or watch from my computer when not televised. Same old 42" TV. Got a few new pieces of gear nothing to write home about.

Excited about this year. We'll be more competitive I think. Always an optimistic time of the year I plan for year round.

I have thought about going to the HOF game? Anyone else want to go and do a meetup?

Was thinking about going to a game this year. First thought was the Thanksgiving game this year since I hadn't been in awhile, but they're playing the Raiders, so I'm not all that interested in that game. And I've got family obligations on the Sunday before so I can't go to the NY game.

May decide to do the Eagles game instead.

Other than that, I'll just continue to look for TV conflicts with the Texans to see which games I may have to look for alternative viewing.

No new nothing for me in terms of gear but still got the same old 42" TV with sunday ticket. Cowboys don't play close enough here for me to consider anything outside of the Giants game, but I went to the one last year. The hall of fame game is pretty close but I won't be going.

My preparation are somewhat of a ritual full of all kinds of craziness that my wife will never understand and changes depending on whether it's a noon game or later. For my noon gametimes I wake up and make a good hearty breakfast for the family. Eggs, bacon biscuits/gravy or pancakes. Then I crank on the music and the wife and I do a little house cleaning followed by me playing whatever team we are playing that week in a game of Madden. After that's all said and done it's about 11 o clock now....so I'll turn the tube to watch the pregame show, however I make it a point to turn the TV off when they start doin predictions. I refuse to read anything about any type of predictions involving the Dallas Cowboys...no threads, posts, news articles or TV. I will close my ears and yell in order to not hear that thing which will ruin my day/week. OK so back to my game day preps...during the pregame show the wife will run out and get me my in game eatery which varies but always includes at least the trusty ole chips and dip. Ok so by 1145 some of the buds have arrrived and I've got my game day jersey on and ready to rock. So there we sit...watching the game in HD on my 55in LED with the surround sound cranked. Well we don't do much sitting. My son, buddies and myself are all pretty crazy when the game is on. My wife gets a kick out of how crazy we get during the games.

So do we win more often with pancakes or what? The cooking surrounding the games fascinates me as well as making me envious and hungry. :)

My dad and I always had the same routine of nachos and Coke for each game. I still do it but it gets lonely since my wife and kids are not fans. :(

Nah... lol If I go to the game, I'd probably take my cousin whose a big Cowboys fan, but is unfortunately engaged to a Giants fan. smh

I live in an area of Cowboys hate (Houston). If I'm not at the game, I prefer to watch alone so I don't have to hear other people's mouth...even the friends that are Cowboys fans.

I usually just keep it solo. Me and the Zone chat room. lol

I feel the same way sometimes. The Cowboys are special to me and I prefer to not share.

Every new season that rolls in I have to get some new gear. Though for this season, I really hope I can shake some superstitions and just enjoy the games instead of being a nervous wreak all week

My favorite place if not at a game is my home. TV on esp if the game is on TV. If the game isn't on then I'll either do RZ on the TV or a computer. Generally I have the game from the computer on the TV if necessary. Then I have a Mod computer up as well.

If no TV game there at times I'll go to one or another sports bar. I've been trying to get him to set up a Dallas Fan club there to go with the GB, Steeler and Falcons' ones. Otherwise I have to take a back seat to those although generally I can get the Cowboys game on in the back of the bar.

I think I'll go to a few games this year. Thinking about the first NY game.
