When are we going to get a clutch defense ?

Normally, I'd agree with you. But two weeks ago, against the Colts, I really thought our defense was super clutch.

And you have to remember....the Giants were letting it all hang out. Now, that's not a great excuse, but it's hard to stop a desperate team.

I dont know what game you were watching, but that defense today was a disgrace

we're fortunate to have the W...other than one drive 2nf half drive, it was like they were playing with 11 guys vs 6 or 7 for us

the day we stop playing the really pathetic Prevent D. it doesnt only happen to the Cowboys but to almost every team it seems that plays Prevent D but they dont adjust. I'll never understand it

The D definately needs to change things up. I know Parcells does not like to blitz, because of getting burned on the big play. Well, how about this: Do not blitz, switch up Ware on each side of the defensive line and let him rush the passer every play? He is out in the coverage far too much.

no kidding right? This is one of the biggest wins in our franchise in a long time, and people come out complaining.

Do you not watch the games? Our D blitzes quite a bit.

Fact is, Marcus Spears, Chris Canty, and Jason Ferguson ARE NOT pass rushers. You trade a great run defense for an okay pass defense. It is hard to have your cake and eat it to.

And the teams that stop teams form just ramming it down their throat with handoffs are the ones that win the big games. It is much harder to drive the length of the field with completions than it is to just run on a defense.

Wow! What a thread. How many times did we hold the giants to a FG when they were inside the 10? The giants had to have that last TD and THEY came up big. Sometimes the offense just wins. I think our D played an excellent game. We are a complete team and we won.

The 3-4 defense is designed to be a blitzing scheme, having pass rushers coming from all different angles on passing downs. You must be not watching the games, if you think that is how the boys D plays. And you are absolutely right on when we do blitz, it is not effective. That is when Parcells tone's it down and we stop blitzing. My point is just have Ware rushing the passer, instead of dropping into coverage.
