If he gets in reinstated I can see him playing in game 1. That's only if the other team goes 5 or maybe 4 wide. That would slowly get him into the game. By November or December he would probably be the 3rd cb unless they really like the way things are going and want to remain consistent. After that who knows whats going to happen. Just go out and bring the giant back to earth.

He wasn't the starting FS in Cleveland. He started two games all season. One was against the Pats as the third CB because the Browns started out in the Nickel. The other game he started was against the Jags as the LCB.

Those 10 INT's. Three were in game 2 against the Browns who threw 7 total in the game. Let's just say Ty Detmer was giving them out that day.

Another 3 of them were in week 10 against the one and only Elvis Grbac. He seemed to be giving them out that day as well, he had 4 total in the game.

Then he had 2 in week 14 against Marc Brunell and the 5-8 Jaguars.

So let's hold of on the 'He's terrific at Safety' based on him playing the position in a nickel defense about 7 or 8 years ago and getting the gift of going up against three crap QB's in said games.

Henry started games in the NFL as a FS and games in college as a FS. He played well in both places. Either you have the instincts to play safety or you don't. Henry does. Are you saying that since he played well as a FS as a rookie that now since he has a lot more experience in the NFL that he can't play it anymore? I hope not, that would be silly. Are you saying he no longer has the physical ability to play safety, but he still does at CB? I hope not because CB is the more difficult position to play. Are you saying he was smarter as a rookie and now "7 or 8" years later his brain is deteriorating?

The coaches in Cleveland said he had good instincts as a safety but that he was more valuable at CB... just like any good DB who has the athleticism to play CB.

Not every CB has the instincts and ball awareness to play safety, but his coaches said Henry does.

And clearly, since he still has the athleticism to play CB then he will at safety too.

As for who he intercepted, is that how were counting them now? Only INT's against good QB's count?

That would make more sense. Let's see, Newman had 4 INT's in 2007 but they were against:

Buffalo (Trent Edwards) - Rookie, so it doesn't count.
Washington (Jason Campbell) - Clearly, this one wouldn't count.
NYJ(Kellen Clemens) - This one doesn't count either.
Green Bay (Brett Favre) - OK, finally. One that counts.

So Newman only had 1 INT all last year. Not very good for a Corner. The problem probably is that he played CB 7 or 8 years ago and he has somehow lost the ability to do so.

We could look at Henry's INT's last year too:

Miami (2)(Trent Green) - Old, over the hill. These two don't count.
Chicago(2)(Rex Grossman) - Do I even have to say anything? Don't count
Philly (Mcnabb) - I don't think too highly of him, but count this one.
Carolina (Matt Moore) - Rookie. Doesn't count.

So Henry only had 1 INT last year. OK. No wonder he can't play safety. He sucks as a CB and everyone knows that Safety is the more difficult position to play.

I suppose the Dallas coaches who were thinking of moving Henry to safety were complete idiots and just couldn't grade the "film" as good as you.

[/sarcasm]

Do I think Henry will be moved to FS? Probably not. Do I think he could do it? Absolutely, if his body could hold up (like I already mentioned).

Tell you what DCFan... you "hold off" on whatever you want to and let other's have their own opinion. At least until your name is DCCoach or DCScout instead of DCFan.

Lions. I remember that game. I was laughing sooo hard because Mornhinweg went into it saying Detmer knew how to run the WCO very well and he was going to jumpstart their offense.

Oh yeah, Lions. lol.

When was he a starter at FS in the NFL? Show us the link.

Waiting...

And I guess you missed my post in here where I said I think he could make the move to FS, but that he won't be starting there when the season begins like the original poster was making it seem.

And I guess you missed some of the posts I have made in the past about how I know Henry is fragile and I think he will be a CB and only a CB here, but when he moves on after the 2008 season I could see him as a FS for some other NFL team.

ding, ding, ding? I thought that was the silliest post on the thread. The whole thread is not a discussion of reinstatement but a discussion beyond that predicated on an assumption of reinstatement. So bringing that up was a waste of a post and ding-dinging it is worse.

Oh please. I could initiate a thread to start a discussion that'll be predicated upon an assumption that Jerry Jones' next opportunity for reaching behind himself to scratch his *** will happen next Tuesday.

Goodell must reinstate Adam Jones before any credible discussion can take place about Jones becoming a starter. CrazyCowboy recognized that and replied. I agreed with his reply.

I see this repeated alot but its not true. Henry played as the #3 CB to start that season and then ended that season as a starting CB. He wasnt playing FS
