Ok, this is a two part questions. One, does anyone have a timeline on his return? And two. What would you be willing to trade Ware away for? Now before i start getting the "this aint madden" responses its just hypothetical. We have a lot of holes on this team on the OL and the DL. If we could get a few picks for him and maybe a player would that be worthit? I dont know what the cap hit would be either. Just throwing it out there. Id rather talk about this then the fact we cant gameplan for the worst defense in the league.

It would have to be in the off-season.

Other teams will not give up significant drafts picks and take on this huge salary. His base is 12.2M in 2014 and increases in following years.

The cap hit to trade or cut him this coming off-season would be about 9M; whereas, keeping him (without a restructure) will be a 16M cap hit. Even with a restructure, keeping him will be about a 12M cap hit. They actually have an extra 3M available if he is cut or traded vs kept and restructured.

If he can't get/stay healthy, they might be better off without him.

Man... bad situation all the way around unless he becomes the Ware of old.

What are the odds on that?

I'd be willing to trade him for a mid or higher 2nd round pick at this point. I don't think he will, but I still wouldn't be shocked if he retired this offseason.

Demarcus Ware isn't going to retire or be traded. He has missed two games in his career.

I was hoping he would be back today, and now I'm hoping for Sunday night against the Saints. But, with the bye week coming up after the Saints, I wonder if they just might give Ware the whole three weeks to get better. That means he would play against the Giants on the 24th.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see, but if he's good to go we'll need him against Drew Brees in the Superdome.

I'm guessing in 3 weeks. He won't be back for the Saints game. And they'd be smart to not bring him back. Then we get another week for the bye. Then he will be ready for the following week.

Completely disagree. I guarantee he will be back for saints game! I've heard from reputable reporters that he said there is no way he is missing saints game. He would have played today if it were against a better team
