When I get depressed about Da Boyz

I have been a fan from 1968 to I have seen the best of the great cowboys teams and coaches and now I have watched last 20 years its not so good at least I got to see the very best that ever played in a cowboys game live

My Golden State Warriors are NBA Champs and I've seen my Cowboys win 3 Super Bowls. I'm spoiled as a sports fan and I don't take it for granted.

When I get depressed with the Cowboys, I just put on an old pair of bugle boy jeans, spray some drakkar noir or polo cologne on, and listen to some Will Smith summertime or some INXS and watch the 90's Cowboys. Pure Heaven. Now if I could only restore my old Pontiac Fiero

I just go find this video...we were so spoiled!!!

I have a recommendation for people that get depressed about losing.

Try focusing on the details of the game more like a coaches perspective than a fans perspective. You can find a lot of things to like in terms of individual players and their accomplishments even in losses. If you really dig deep into analysis, you can get a lot of enjoyment from the season regardless of the win/loss record, especially with this current team that has a lot of talent.

Try watching La'el Collins in the Giants game for example. He is already a Wow type player.

On defense try studying Byron Jones. If you get tired of seeing dumb players like Claiborne and Randle, then you should enjoy watching Jones. Yes, he'll obviously have some rookie mistakes but he is probably further along in knowledge of the Cowboys defensive scheme than Claiborne.

The Cowboys run blocking alone can be hours of entertainment. The intricacies of run blocking in the NFL is fascinating. The difference between a big play and a minimal gain can often be just a subtle difference that you won't see when watching the games in real time.

Somebody could make highlight reel just of Hardy punking OLinemen even on plays were he does not get a sack.

RoMc playing as a DT/LB when the Cowboy use a 3 man DL is worth watching in detail.

@ least your not a Jets fan...and stuck w/ Joe Nameth for all these years

Or a Philly fan whose past consists of booing Santa, bounty bowl, cheering Michael Irvin's injury and McNabb puking on the field during one of their 2 SB losses. The most famous athlete in Philadelphia's history is a fictional character who lost a championship fight.

True - or a Cleveland fan with Brian Sipe or a Chiefs fan with Len Dawson or a Bills fan with Jim Kelly or a Detroit fan with...I dunno - Eric Hipple?

You mean a Cleveland fan with every QB they've had. Even with Bernie Kosar arguably their franchises greatest QB they suffered two of the most heartbreaking losses in playoff history.

I actually get more depressed watching highlights of the championship years because I think about how long ago that was and how much I've aged since then.

Steph Curry is a bad man!

Sure is. I was at Game 6 in Cleveland when they won it. No sports complaints from me for at least a decade. :)

Thing I love about him is he's not the most athletic or quickest guy. He can't compete with freaks like Westbrook athletically, but Curry's craftiness, his sick handles, his shooting stroke and ability to create off the dribble.

I just love the NBA superstars that don't need superior athleticism to dominate at the pro level.

When I get depressed about the Boys...I just watch a bit of a Lions game, and suddenly I don't feel as bad.

Yep, Curry's game is pure skill. Still works his butt off to get the very most out of his potential. If he had Westbrook's athleticism he'd be banned from the league.

This helps me:

I've distanced myself a lot from sports in recent years. I watch...but a lost less. I care...but a lot less.

When watching football or baseball I tell myself: It's not my game. I have my own world in which I compete...in which I have control...in which I am the chief gladiator. It's a ton more fun investing my time and interest in that sport.

And no, I am not talking about computer games.

You abandoned the boys 2 years ago ....... who cares.
