* May 14 (12:01 AM) Come again when you can stay longer? Heralded 375-pound New Orleans undrafted free agent DT Walter Thomas lasted barely 10 minutes at the Saints' rookie camp this weekend. Thomas was reportedly carried off the field by training staff and his locker has reportedly been cleaned out. Thomas was literally the ?biggest? undrafted free agent signee after the 2007 draft. Thomas? college career consisted of two junior college games as flunked out of Oklahoma State before ever playing in a game, while trouble with the law cut short his stint at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

i was all over wanting this guy for the dallas cowboys, well, looks like ive been wrong about him, time to move on,

it seems he passed out and needed to be carried off the field after only 10 minutes

I wonder how many dudes it took to lift him onto the little tarmac vehicle?

he was reportedly 6-5, 369, with 4.9 to 5.2 in 40, able to bench 500 pounds with a 600 squat, he was said to be unstopable to block since he was so big, but as you can see,, he couldnt last 10 minutes in pratice,

as the old saying, you can be a workout warrior, but if you cant do it on the field, it does you no good.

Tragic backflip accident. You don't want to know.

:laugh2:

I am waiting for the guy who comes up with a video were he does a back flip from his knees while throwing the ball 70 yards in mid flip. While the ball is in the air, and after completing the flip, they guy runs down the field while jumping over a car or two.

So the guy quit from exhaustion? After only 10 min.? Then they cleanded out his locker??

:laugh2:

I suppose Sean Peyton used up all of his draft / FA luck last year.

Put me down as one who made a mistake on him as well. I thought that given his size and athletic ability, he might be a monster of a nose tackle.

"Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane" I guess......

No doubt.

I noticed his "issues" as soon as I saw the disgrace he called his ******* page.

Clearly showed a clueless clown who doesn't 'get it'.

This latest debacle simply confirms that he still doesn't have a clue.

Walter Thomas leaves rookie camp

Associated Press - May 13, 2007 3:34 PM ET
1 of the New Orleans Saints' more intriguing rookie prospects didn't keep caoch Sean Payton's interest for very long.
Walter Thomas is a 6-foot-4, 374-pound defensive lineman who has startled scouts with his quickness and agility. But he didn't even make through one practice before Payton sent him packing.
Payton says Thomas was so out of shape he needed to visit the training room for treatment after about 15 minutes of the first practice yesterday (Saturday).
Thomas was considered a bit of a long-shot prospect because of his problems off of the field. Bad grades forced him out of Oklahoma State during his freshman year. He played only two junior college games in Mississippi before he was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery.
However, the Saints remained intrigued because of scouting reports that Thomas could run faster than most linebackers and had the remarkable agility for a man his size to perform flips and cartwheels.

I wanted him and felt he was worth taking in the 7th round. Go back and look at alot of user mocks and he was popular late round choice. A guy that big was well worth a look as an undrafted FA or 7th rounder. I would go so far as to bring him in now for a looksee. Get him on a bike and shape him up. This is still a minimal risk situation.
