abersonc;1497469 said:you do know the PS is for guys who can you know, come in and actually practice, right?
I'd save the spot for someone who actually has played some football recently and has a commitment to being in something approximating playing shape.

Obviously he has no cardio at all if he's not lasting 15 minutes. You can't tell me it is the humidity, because he's from Mississippi and would have been dealing with that his whole life. Cardio can be addressed and in the healthiest manner.
Man, what a strange story this guy has been. I can't blame the Saints or any team for being interested. Same as when Brock Lesnar left wrestling to try football.
No harm in rolling the dice.
Brandon Everage???
There are a lot of fools out there who believe they don't need to be in shape until August.stasheroo;1497484 said:I think it speaks volumes as to where this guy is mentally as well as physically.
He knew he was going to be 'going to work' somewhere.
And he obviously did nothing to prepare himself for it.
The biggest 'job interview' of his life and the guy goes on a 6 month 'bender' the night before so to speak.
It shows me how serious the guy isn't about football.
stealth;1497473 said:meh, how many practice squad guys turn into players? not too darn many. He is a kid, and a giant freaking kid at that. Let him get some real endurance training and probably drop 20-30 pounds and he has potential. His mespace page is hilarious though wall to wall saints.
The fact that he only got 10 minutes means something. If he's not in shape, coach him into shape. I think he shows up on a practice squad somewhere, and wouldn't be disappointed if it was here.stasheroo;1497429 said:Put me down as one who made a mistake on him as well. I thought that given his size and athletic ability, he might be a monster of a nose tackle.

abersonc;1497493 said:Few PS players make it -- but those who do show hustle and hard work -- This guy, he declares for the draft and knows he's going to be put through some hard practices -- he's known that for months now. What does he do? Shows up in such bad shape that he can't play at all.
Yeah, that's the message you want to send to the guys on the PS -- work hard! or not.

Patrick Crayton was on the practice squad his rookie year.stealth;1497473 said:meh, how many practice squad guys turn into players? not too darn many.

I am waiting for the guy who comes up with a video were he does a back flip from his knees while throwing the ball 70 yards in mid flip. While the ball is in the air, and after completing the flip, they guy runs down the field while jumping over a car or two.
