When is it time to rebuild?

I say this knowing that Jerry Jones is an eternal optimist who is incapable of seeing his team for what it really is. However, we need to get cracking on a rebuilding phase before what little real talent we have is over the hill. My fear is that Jerry is going to try to go with his patented duct tape approach again and waste another five years as we spiral into a Dave Campo abyss. This team is clearly in that mediocre 1999 mode.

Next year, depends on the cap hits, I know next season will most likely be a no cap year, so it depends on how the NFL structure the cap penalties.

Are the Jets rebuilding this year? Was Atlanta rebuilding last year?

All teams, with very few exceptions, try and put a competitive team on the field every year.

As long as we keep getting to 9-7 or close, we will always seem one step away. For it to even be a thought, we'd have to have a pretty bad losing season, which I don't think we will.

That said, we aren't nearly as good as a lot of people around here think we are so I wasn't surprised the game was close and I wasn't surprised we lost it.
