I think we've got some great days ahead of us. We are going to certainly be recognizing what's happening here with the Hall of Fame, but Tex Schramm, who started that Ring of Honor, he said, 'Jerry, keep it kind of limited with people, but make sure it wasn't just about the plays they made. Make sure they contributed to the story of the franchise.' Now, it's kind of hard not to recognize [Johnson's] contribution to the story of the franchise."

"The one thing we did not want to do is any way is take away from this great recognition of going in the NFL Hall of Fame. We’ll get to the other stuff relative to the Ring of Honor later on. ... We can do both."

One month, he did not say when it would happen.
Nearly two months later, he explained it had not happened yet because making it happen would somehow diminish Johnson going into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
A full season passed and it did not happen.
Over ten months lapsed and he has not said when it will happen. No announcement. No hint. No tease. Nothing.
A reminder. Jerry Jones is the Dallas Cowboys'
owner,
president and
general manager. There is nothing humanly possible act he cannot do. And he can do practically anything within his power...
in
an
instant.
Some of y'all keep thinking it is simply a case of a guy having a big ego--in a world that has always been filled with people with huge egos, who say what they mean and ACT upon what they say every day.
The thread question's answer?
Jerry Jones will induct Jimmy Johnson into the franchise's Ring of Honor either:
- after he feels emotionally and psychologically pressured into doing so OR
- never
Keep believing what really motivates him to act atypically. That square keg will fit through that round hole.
Eventually.
