They changed the rules on this.
Now you just put players on IR. Then you can activate the player you choose. no need to designate a specific player. So both can go on IR, then bring one back.
Best thing to do, just keep Tony on the roster, then he is inactive each week until he is ready. Then keep that use of the player returning for someone else.

That's right. But I doubt we use it either actually. I'd keep Romo on the 53. Moore to IR. We'd be talking week 9 before Moore could come off. We have to get another backup in before that.

Agree, Keep Romo on the 53. Moore will be a FA after this year. But still keep him on the IR all year. Then let him go in FA. As we will have another QB on the roster anyway to bring back into TC in 2017. And don't need to go through that in the off season again. If the new QB is on a2 or 3 year deal, and not a 1 year deal.

How lucky are we he broke his ankle. If he didn't, we would have never seen how well Dak could really perform. We would have blown it off as he was doing it against 34d and 4th team guys.
So we may have as much good luck for once, as we have bad luck in Tony and his injuries. However we always have more bad luck than good luck.
Maybe that changes now, who knows.
But I do agree, time for Moore to move on. As I never felt comfortable with him as the back up anyway.

Let me retry: I hope K Moore has a successful and swift recovery and catch on to another team in the future. Although, I think he is limited as a NFL qb, he probably has a bright future as a coach. Go kellen!
