When was the last time we heard this from our QB? Is Dak not given the freedom to kill a play that's called? Or does he just not read deffenses really well?

once or twice last week but not a lot...maybe they took some of this away from him..heard it ton last year but what did it give us? this is deeper issue not just Dak but Dak SL and JG all not on the same page and not calling plays that takes advantage of our Players currently on the staff,,you see a sprinkle here and there like the giants game but then they setlle in and hold on for a 10 point advantage..stupid non aggressive plays..did you see the Rams Vikings Offenses supposedly playing the best defenses in the league? odd they both scored over 30 and chunk plays were like Xmas, hows that possible I thought great defenses trump offense.. all that money on Defense for both teams and they got bent over..Cooper Kupp looked like Jerry Rice, Thiesman, two white WR looking like HOF?lets all say this again.. we have bad coaches for this team. new blood creativity is needed...

I was listening to Ben and Skin yesterday and they brought up something I have yet to hear. Linehan and Garrett were ecstatic that Dak took the reins when Romo got hurt. They were tired of Romo checking out of their plays and wanted nothing more than full control and to implement their offense how they envisioned it. They couldn’t do that with Romo in. Well they got their wish.

The reason I ask is when we have run plays called and it's clear the d knows what's coming why not audible to a quick slant or a go route to make them think twice. An incomplete pass is just as if not more effective than an 1 yard run. Or a run for no gain.

Means we need a better play caller than Linehan, Garrett, and Romo. That shoots down any theory for Romo being OC.

I've heard Dak kill plays many times, but not nearly as many times as #9.
I suspect if you look at room early in his career and late in his career then you see he didn’t change as much early on as later
The more years in the league the better understanding of defenses a QB had

He's a 3rd year QB. No I doubt very much he is given the freedom to kill plays. Romo was lucky in that he benefitted from playing under Parcells to start his career, had guidance from Sean Payton and more importantly, Vinny Testaverde. Dak in the one year he had guidance from Romo was his best year, Romo leaves and his play has gone to hell. Sure enough today he has Kellen Moore as a QB coach and guess what, he's playing like Kellen Moore. Dak's regression is as much a statement of the Dallas front office and the incompetent people they have as coaches - starting with the HC on down. But hey, why be surprised, this is an organization that ran off a coach after winning a super bowl. This is an organization that is the gold standard for dysfunction. We are a circus act, nothing more - I don't expect this to change, not as long as Jerry Jones fancies himself as a great football mind.
