That was kind of my first thought.Good luck running the WCO offense with a QB who can’t throw a slant
Hell no to McAdoo. As i always say....McAdoo....McAdon't.Will they hire Ben McAdoo or go after a big name like Kingsbury?
Or McCarthy takes over the offense with a placeholder OC like Brian Schottenheimer.
You could have just stopped right there.WCO?, you gotta be able to hit
As i have been saying since we hired McCarthy...it is the DUMBEST thing in the world to hire him and not let him implement and run his offense. Calling the plays.
It is like the Chiefs hiring Andy Reid and not letting him implement his offense or call the plays.

Its all smashing Prescott as much as possible. Dont get in the way of thatThey said the same with Eli Manning, he did well in that scheme.
I don’t always agree with you, but you always state your case very well. I always stop to read what you have to say when scrolling through.Hell no to McAdoo. As i always say....McAdoo....McAdon't.
I like the placeholder idea.

What McCarthy ran in Green Bay looked much different than the Bill Walsh / Joe Montana offense with Jerry Rice running crossing patterns and then gaining big YAC.That was kind of my first thought.
I admittedly don’t understand it well enough, and we don’t know it that’s what MM will go with if Moore does indeed leave, but the “West Coast Offense” I recall from back in the day was all about slants, short passes, and more importantly…hitting receivers in stride, which Dak flat out cannot do.
@xwalker
There's no way Kellen Moore is getting fired.
By the time Garrett got fired, nobody was calling him a boy wonder...and they hadn't been for many yearsPeople thought the same thang with Jason Garrett .. another one that was supposed to be Boy Wonder Genius. per Jerry.
Dak "lumbers" .... he really looks cumbersome when he takes off, but some are so hooked on the Lamar Jacksons and Justin Fields and Josh Allens that they really think DakDid you watch the games. Dak runs about as fast as Zeke now. He is an awkward runner as well and does not have the power he used to have n his younger days.
Yes, he has a vast wealth of experience as a playcaller, where Moore has never done it prior to being hired by the team. The optics point to Jerry forcing MM to keep Moore, but he finally might be handed all the keys.MM should already be calling plays... that was his expertise in SF and GB. He was excellent and he came out the west coast offense in SF.
they did since 2016, when he actually won" NFL's Coach of the Year " .. but note on we'd make the playoffs ... missed the playoffs next year ..make playoffs, .. and the cycle repeats itself.By the time Garrett got fired, nobody was calling him a boy wonder...and they hadn't been for many years
He was on the Cowboys staff in 2021...lol @ mcadoodoo
Think we all agree, Dak and the offense could use better coaching. MM certainly can provide that. I believe fixing their run game, is a big priority for them this offseason to make the offense more Dak friendly. Its all smashing Prescott as much as possible. Dont get in the way of that
McCarthy definitely is flexible. McCarthy learned how to coach quarterbacks from the guy that coached Montana when he was winning Super Bowls. I imagine it sticks in his craw all those interceptions. His units used to lead the league in fewest picks. I imagine that is where a lot of the disconnect in read/decision making is coming from.
Shanahan's evolution is in the merging of the run and the pass but Shanahan came from the same SF system. For us it would be a massive shift but in house particularly with McCarthy it's a lot of business as usual.
