I'm looking at it like this - they can't win with Dak and I don't expect them to do any better or worse with Rush. But maybe Rush can provide a little spark for the offense that has been missing for the past 8 weeks. If not, then so what.

What I think the next few weeks will tell everyone is that there was no reason to overpay Dak when you had another QB on the roster who could provide the same results. It's frustrating how dumb this franchise has become.

It's not Rush that will lead the Cowboys. It is up to the remaining starters to share some leadership by elevating their games. That's what they are supposed to do when their starting QB goes down.

Do you really think we were capable of winning another game with Dak behind center? There's no way. I have not seen that bad of quarterback play since Chad Hutchinson. And they both have the same pocket awareness, which is none.

The games ahead are going to be tough, and it doesn't matter who's playing QB. This roster was DOA this season. Can't run the ball, can't stop the run, can't protect the QB, limited options to throw to, McCarthy, still being employed in Dallas. It isn't hard to point to Dak and label him part of the problem, and also acknowledge that there are various issues with this team, and they all stem from the frail ego of Jerral Jones. I'm not sure we have to worry about tanking, because I'm not convinced this team will win more than a game or two the rest of the way.

It also proves Dak isn't better than him and the Cowboys are wasting $60M a year the next 4 years on him.

Dak is far from the largest problem the Cowboys have, but at 60 million per year he needs to be a difference maker. He should be able to will the Boys to 2 or 3 extra wins per season and there is literally zero chance of that happening, healthy or not. Dude has been playing like a JAG since he got his bag. At that kind of salary he should be the best player on the team no question, but our best player is our kicker.

Whether we win or lose….we need drastic change. We need a big offseason. If Rush wins it means nothing unless we get time nfc championship game. If he loses oh well.
