When the Cowboys were in the Superbowl how did you celebrate?

This is something I am growing more curious about as each year passes. It's been a long time since we've been in the big game and after seeing how some of these cities have exploded with mass celebrations all over the place after winning the superbowl, or even just getting into the big game.

CNN has a shot of Bourbon street right after the Saints victory. I was like in third grade when we won in 95 so I definately don't have too many memories of how the festivities went, and any archives or old videos/stories are hard to find.

So for the older guys here at CZ how did we do the SB celebrations back in the day? What do you remember doing after we won? I already know after this many years Dallas getting their 6th would bring a buzz that would be a life long memory for me atleast. Plus with the way times have changed in 15 years, most certainly there would be plenty of fanfare. But I am still curious on how it was back in the day since some of us still haven't got to taste the sweet smell of a championship yet in our primes.

I couldn't go to sleep the nights when Dallas won! I stayed home from school one time I believe...

I think I did some homework and had some juice back in 95.

I told all 9er Stealers Biggles Forskins and Packers fans to kiss my entire arse

As you can see the last time we won a Superbowl the Pats Colts Cardinals Saints Ravens were not even on the map.

I live in pittsburgh so I called every stinking steeler fan I knew and rubed it in.

I made sure every "Commanders" fan out there felt my wrath lol. I was 12 at the time, and man it felt great! Not to mention going to summer camp that year too, and laughing in at those idiots was even better. Better yet stealing this one guys girlfriend there and she rocked my Smith jersey(The rest is history think about it haha).

It was a school night...does that answer you question?

I remember a parade through downtown Dallas that turned into an ugly brawl. It was either '92 or '93.

Hoodlums ruined the first parade back in the 92 season, parade was February of 1993.

NO is going to positively ransack the French Quarter however, expect drunken looting.

I watched every celebration as it happened on TV, quietly soaking it all in. I laughed, cried, breathed deep, sighed relief, answered the phone when friends called. Only one time was it really special or had a ton of significance to me. When we won XXVIII I went out on my balcony to be alone and "talk" to my deceased Grandma. On her death bed I had promised her we were going to Draft Troy Aikman and win 2 Super Bowls.

For our last Superbowl, I celebrated enough that it prompted me to never drink again with the exception of a few beers on special occassions. :)

Man.. when they won all three times in the 90s I felt like I HAD WON. People couldnt deal with me. I would walk around with my gears for weeks.

I would look at some people and say, "Cowboys suck" as I am wearing my cowboys gear. They all gave that look of, "mother flower"

I got in my Model T and went for a ride to the local Speakeasy for a drink.

With a glass of Champaign with my family, I watch all the games with my family either at my house or theirs but we always watch the games together. Of course having the bragging rights for a few months is always great.

I had a lowered Toyota mini - truck that was Cowboys blue........

I use to.........

Ah never mind.

Watched it with some bros and just took it all in. Good times those 90's were. Man.

And I hope to witness a few more here with this young team. Watch them grow into winners.

I'm not so sure about that. They are professional partiers downs there and the police are very used to giant celebrations. There may be some issues, but no more than most places.

As for our titles in the 90s....I had a Super Bowl party at my house for the first one, so it was amazing after we won. I was single and my house was in the "M-Streets" in Dallas. They basically closed off Lower Greenville and we (me, my girlfriend at the time, and about 50 others friends) all went to the Blue Goose and celebrated with the masses. Great memories!

I was there. A buddy and I skipped school and drove downtown for the parade. We were walking along after the parade not realizing what was going on around us until a cop grabbed me, yelled something, and shoved me to the side. I looked down and saw a bleeding camera-man. Was crazy and kinda surreal once we saw what was going on all around us. We got back to my truck and got the hell outa there after that. Kinda sucked having that represent Dallas all over the national news.

Was fun though hearing all the cars honking in delight and people yelling 'Go Cowboys!' as you drove around town or home from where ever you watched the game after the wins though.
