When will we know?

With the slow start we had thank God we don't play them and tell them but you're right that will be the test I think the Eagles can be beat we've seen it every game so far this year
Thank God we have 5 weeks before we play them is what I meant to say

I still don't know, but my knowing is starting to go negative.
Well we might want to figure that we play one bad game one good game one bad game how does that work out in time for the Eagles game?

Garrett is our Jeff Fisher. We will "know" when we get quality coaching and no time sooner.

It’s amazing to me as time goes by that this owner hasn’t learned (or doesn’t care) that to build a championship team, you MUST have an excellent head coach.

So either Jerry doesn’t know, doesn’t care, or knows but cares a lot more about counting his 5 billion while losing “his way”.

He knows and doesn't care . It becomes more obvious every game every year.

He does not care. He's proven that beyond any doubt. He'd rather lose w/ a HC he considers his man than win w/ a legit HC.

I think it’s safe to say...we now know Bob. The team stinks.
It certainly has today.
Two new questions:
1. When will Jerry know it’s time to pull the plug on the “Clapper era”?
2. When will Earl Thomas learn that he needs to shake hands with Stephen Jones instead of Garrett if he wants to go to Big D?

He’ll pull the plug after the season I’d imagine,if he’s going to. And forget Earl...that’s irrelevant at this point. I’m too preoccupied with saving as many crew members as I can before the ship sinks to the bottom. Once we’ve been rescued and back on shore, then we can assess where to go from there.

Signs I watch for to determine super bowl contention:

1) At least decent QB play w/ very few TO's.
2) LOS domination. It is just so hard to win against playoff teams/QB's if you're getting beat up front. Foles does not win that super bowl against the Pats if the Pats had a better DFront. He had all day. And you need to be at least decent on both sides of the ball. Thing is, a dominant DLine is what mostly beats playoff Qb's. Brady laughs at teams who try to beat him w/ coverage. Pay attention next time and see the snarky smirk on his face when others try to beat him w/ coverage.
3) An O that can control the clock. Quick strike O's mostly lose to teams in the playoffs as their D gets gassed. ATL is the most recent example of this, though there were most definitely other factors. Brady does it w/ a short passing game, most teams do it w/ a consistent running game. Either way, gotta be able to use up clock to keep the D fresh.
4) S's. Man, your last line of D is just so important. Need a guy back there who can fly, cut off the deep stuff, and w/ the instincts to know where to be.
5) Playmakers. And that's on O and on D. Need some game changers. That's why I was happy w/ the Tavon acquisition. He's the guy that touches the ball 2-8 times/game, but makes a difference. I'm hoping Jaylon can be that guy on D. He's shown signs, and man can that guy fly!!!

I know, there are many other factors, and the more weaknesses you have the harder it is to win it all. However, it all starts up front.

No matter how you slice it, this game vs. the Seahawks was an especially uninspired performance that reeked of overall team apathy. I believe it was largely due to the overly zealous number of offensive changes that were installed with no consideration of the backlash for doing so. Poor management is commonly prone to creating an environment conducive to such poor and uninspired play. It's a problem that requires much smarter decisions.

We can also say what we might like for Garrett's ability to inspire the players but I'm sensing that his methods have become old hat and are as tiresome to the players as it is to the fans. We're now apparently on the fence between mediocrity and inadequacy. I'm remembering the Wade Phillips' final days and recently sense that much the same is happening here and now. I feel it's quite possible that the days of Jason Garrett and his ways are numbered.

The OL has become a shell of it's former self. Whether or not it's the fault of our current O-line coach will probably be under serious discussion in the near future, if not immediately. The Dallas FO will be confronted with many decisions between now and the year's end. May they find a realistic solution to the inability of this team to remain as competitive as it should be. A lesson or ten in managerial wisdom might help, imho.

He doesn't care. He'd rather be in control and lose than win with someone else getting the credit. Been this way since he split with Jimmy Johnson.

I've never bought in to the Garrett is a motivator meme. Sure you'll hear players say they respect & buy in to the process but what else are they going to say publicly? Do you see any real fire on the sidelines prior to & during the game? Any real killer instinct? I think the players see Garrett the same as many posters here do, a puppet that is over-matched and unimaginable. Hopefully Jerry will come to his senses and realize his fantasy of Garrett as a top notch head coach is just that, a fantasy.

This is a big season for Garrett and Dak.
corp l get a pass because thats a fresh group basicly
Im good with the defense other then safety

I'm staying out of either camp on Dak till the end of the season.
He has proven he can preform when protected.

Tom Brady was asked this question today on Sirius NFL radio.

He said after about ten games.
