This is my favorite time of the year...training camp is like Christmas for many football fans.

Finally get to find out about young players.

You know, for me, I think this is a very big part of my excitement for camp. I’m a huge fan of the draft, and probably enjoy the pre draft process nearly as much as the regular season games. Camp (and preseason games) show you how the drafted (and UDFA) are doing and if they have a chance to make the team and actually help as rookies.

In preseason games you can watch all the young guys and when one looks really good (like Parsons and Osa) it is one of the best things that can happen to your team. Getting a late round (or UDFA) guy who can help your team is like winning the lottery.

Anyway, I love camp and getting a new NFL Season ramped-up. It is one of the high points of the year for me.

I can't remember a time when I've been so ambivalent toward the start of Training Camp.
I think I and many other fans are in a wait an see what they do in the playoff, if they make it, everything else is irrelevant to a certain extent. The regular season in some ways becomes irrelevant due to being teased and ultimately let down as the season goes on.

The regular season has never been irrelevant. It determines seeding in the playoffs. What really sucks is when the Cowboys have a great season, earn the 1 seed in the playoffs with a first-round bye and then lose their first playoff game to a divisional foe that they already beat twice in the regular season. That's the football hell that Cowboys fans have been through. And that was a best-case scenario. Recently we've failed to get out of even the wildcard round of the playoffs when we do qualify for the tournament. Call me jaded. I know I'm not alone.

Man I rooted for this crap when we had Chad Hutchinson playing quarterback and Drew Henson…..my excitement hasn’t wavered yet…..if you became a fan of this team late 90s and on you’ve put up with worse crap and probably excited. Now if you became one pre SB Dynasty then you probably could care less.

People being real whiny and dramatic this year for some reason. I don't get it
