Where are our young speed wide receivers?

There’s literally no speed WR in the playoffs that’s making a such an impact that deserves such a thread, let alone suggesting all the teams have such a weapon. Adding speed to the offense won’t solve anything.

I don’t think there is any concern over the WRs. I think they need to decide on what the hell they want their identity to be. They’ve passed well for several years but complain they aren’t enough of a running team. They don’t prioritize drafting RBs or trade for them, nor do they prioritize the O line enough to commit to a better running attack.

They just seem to priorize messaging and the narrative around the team over actually building the kind of team they say they want. The whole org seems sensitive to criticism and cya.

Who are these young “speed receivers” in the Super Bowl you speak of?
Certainly not Rice, Ayuk or Samuel

They are all slower than our top two WRs

" old" Cooks is still fast ... how many times has our QB overthrown Brandin on these fly- go routes where he's clearly had separation steps on a trailing defender ?

What good is over the top speed, if the QB cannot connect with him in stride ?

And we cannot keep using our speed receiver as a ' possession' guy.

KC is going to it's 2nd SB without Hill, who when healthy is a legit #1 playmaker HOF level talent.
They didn't get better on offense, but it's not like it has hampered them from reaching the ultimate goal.
Tons of variables of course, but just didn't expect that after he got traded and they didn't really improve the WR corps there after he left.

They got much better on defense. Their defense is really good and that helps offset the lack of talent in their passing game as well as the fact they can run the ball. Run the ball and play good defense

It is pretty amazing how ALL of our WRs that come and go are consistently somehow locked down...even if we are going against backup scrubs.

Because they come here and get infected by Jerryculture. They know there are little to no consequences and they just have to do a good enough job to get to the playoffs and then half-*** it and they'll still get paid by Jerry. Same for all of the other positions unless you happen to be the designated scapegoat that season.

I called our WR corp trash in August of 2022....in fact, I said they were bottom 5 in the league....and they are still trash....one (1) difference maker and that's it. And he may/may not be turning into a flake. I would have loved to see more out of Brooks....why does our trash get to stay on the field 99.9% of the time I'll never know. Green Bay for years now, plays everyone....doesn't matter how experienced they are.

you were wrong then and you still are. and green bay plays everyone because they have a bunch of lower skilled guys that aren't much different from eachother.

Yeah i'd for sure take Detroit and San Fran.....I would not take Chiefs and Ravens over what we have. Zay Flowers is nice. Rice is too. Ravens have a great future with Rice and Chiefs have one with Rice but they just don't have enough there.

I'm really shocked Chiefs didn't get more this season from Toney and Skyy Moore. I remember thinking with Mahomes they were going to take off. Rice didn't take any time to set it off.
