I'm so sick of these "call out" threads. Roy gets one pick the other night and the insipid "Where are the Roy haters?" threads start popping up. Give it a rest.

Just a few days ago there were a ton of people who felt like Parcells and the Cowboys had just commited franchise suicide by starting Romo aka Moxie. Sigs were everywhere people were resorting to drug use before the game, taking shots of Everclear to numb there pain and disappointment in the inevitable destruction of the franchise,...Where are those guys now?

I didnt feel that way. I felt... it cant get much worse with Romo.

I will admit that I was at the end of my rope with Bledsoe... it was to the point where I wanted ANYBODY BUT BLEDSOE...

Romos stats arent any better than Bledoes? Your kidding right?

Romo's completion % 63.5
Bledoe's completion % 53.3

Romo's YPA 8.44
Bledsoe's YPA 6.89

Romo td every 15 attempts
Bledsoe td every 24 attempts

Romo gets sacked once every 15 attempts
Bledsoe gets sacked once every 10 attempts

Romo's QB rating is 84.9
Bledsoes QB rating is 69.2

The only stat That Bledsoe has been better than Romo has been INT's

Yeah, I thought the statement saying that Romo and Bledsoe's stats were the same was pretty stupid too.

This is a little misleading... I could see Romo getting sacked once or zero times per game... average that out per 25-30 attempts per game.

Right now, Romo's stats aren;t any better than Bledsoe's. He still has 4 int's in 6 qtrs of football. Maybe with first team practice, he will settle down, I don;t know yet. That pick he threw against Carolina was dumb.

I am reserving judgement, but a cautiously optomistic. If he blows away the Commanders, I may try and catch the bandwagon before it leaves town for Arizona.

LOL. So Romo needs to blow away the Commanders before you judge him? Give me a break. You already stated that he threw 4 int's in 6 quarters of football. That sucks right? You might look at the time of possession for the cowboys during that game to see just how poorly Romo played. And that pick was not that dumb. Every QB that throws passes throws int's. Every one. Even Joe Montana threw 3 picks during the 1981 NFC Championship game against the Cowboys. It is what you do AFTER the picks that counts. And stop comparing Bledsoe's stats with Romo's. Any idiot can see that Romo give the Cowboys a better chance to win.

This thread is dumb. I have been asking for Bledsoe to be benched since the end of the Jacksonville game, and I'm not nearly ready to annoint Romo yet.

We have preseason games, one full regular season game and 1 half a regular season game to go off of. No one in this forum 'knows' what we have. We all have an idea of what he is capable of, but his body of work is not nearly large enough to get a great grasp of his ability.

This will be the same opinion after Washington, Arizona and then Indianapolis. After Indianapolis, we can begin to talk about it. But right now to say he is greatness or garbage is way too premature.

I agree. I do see reasons to be optimistic but it is still early in the process.
