MM isn't holding back due to being strategic.

He really doesn't know where Peters will be, or when he will play.

He has to ask Jerry and KM first.

Since it’s a lost season, it doesn’t really matter. Do you risk some young guys building experience so a 40 year old can get some reps?

Yes absolutely, if you're a coach you make that move now.

Unlike us, they can't reside themselves to a lost season.

It’s not a lost season lol. Not only that but some of these guys have no future on this team. You can destroy a guys career having him play next to trash. If Peters can play it will hope the offensive line.

This is also a make or break year for coaches. Moore shouldn’t have to go out there with Steele if Peters can play better.

At this point, i would keep Tyler at LT, and insert Peters at LG... ; I feel Steele will be fine at RT after that mess he had last week. Should Tyler begin to struggle, then switch Peters into LT.

I'm leaving Tyler where he is. He'll make mistakes, but he'll also learn and get better. If Steele or Farniok have poor performances, those are good spots for Peters.

Maybe put one of the older LTs at RT?

I thought about putting Peters at RT if Tyler Smith works out OK at LT again on Sunday.

I feel Peters would be a significant upgrade at RT over Steele, who hasn't fared so well.

Maybe Steele will improve, but maybe not

I am not putting Peters anywhere just yet. See who struggles this week. If no one struggles then why make a change? Go with the young guys because they are your future. Peters is at best a future coach, and maybe a better OL coach than Philbin. That remains to be seen as well.

I think you keep it simple.......LT and put Tyler back to LG. Fewer question marks vs putting him at RT, what to do with Steele, and still need a LG.

Peters Could Be Ready Soon; But Playing Where?
Sep 13, 2022 at 09:45 AM

FRISCO, Texas. —It's possible the Cowboys will see veteran offensive lineman Jason Peters suit up for them fairly soon, but there's more evaluation to be done this week as the nine-time Pro Bowler continues to ramp up for his debut in Dallas, although the first time he takes the field will likely be to protect Cooper Rush and not a recovering Dak Prescott.

On Monday, head coach Mike McCarthy put a pin in questions about Peters' potential availability versus the incoming Bengals, and owner and general manager Jerry Jones not only mirrored that sentiment but also threw a bit of a curveball into the equation as well.

He'll play wherever they want.

LG.

Keep Tyler at LT. He played excellent against the Bucs.

It would be stupid to switch him back to Guard when he is clearly our future LT.

Not anymore. Tyler is not our LT. Play Peters at guard.

I think Peters could play just as well at Tyler at left tackle but I think Tyler would be better guard than Peters therefore I am going Peter LT and Tyler at guard.
