Where are you Tony Romo haters?

No matter what happens tonight, I think most can agree that we would not be in this position if it wasn't for our QB. I remember a bunch all last year and the beginning of this year blaming Tony and even calling for his head.

A bunch of fools with "Turnover Tony" and "Homer Simpson with Sunglasses and KoolAid" in their sigs.

Realize RIGHT NOW that he is our guy. He is worth every penny and more (Look at the coin Eli Manning is making, would you rather have that ******?), and understand that whatever happens tonight don't forget what he did yesterday and judge him by tomorrow.

Many forget last year watching Brooks Bollinger and Brad Johnson. Without Tony you might as well light up a doobie with Quincy and let him go in, because Tony Romo is the leader, MVP, and Heart of the Dallas Cowboys.

Although I know you will all hate on him the next time he loses and call for his head, but I only ask that you remember this feeling right now and remember the feeling last year when we werent even in the race due to our backup QBs. This good feeling right now is because of Tony Romo. Thanks Tony, and sorry about these idiots.

The Homer Simpson with sunglasses was zrinkill - he was making fun of the "realist" fans by saying "don't be a blind homer."

But yeah, you've got a good post there. I think nobody is really hating on Romo anymore though, man.

i think zrinkill and i went back and forth one morning after we lost the first giants game when he was on the downside of his bipolar attitude about the cowboys.

Youre right i think everyone stopped talking smack after we lost to the Giants and Chargers in a row and TR had no INTs. Couldnt talk smack.

I always told myself that when we were doing well i would remind everyone that the season is made of peaks and valleys and TR is the reason for most peaks.

I went to Hooters last night to celebrate with some family members as one of my cousins just got back from Afghanistan...I got home at 11pm and was at work since 0630, so I went straight to bed. I got my 8 hours though :)

Yeah, i tried to tell some of you zoners, that after i did a survery on qbs in the league that became future stars like aikman, brees, eli manning, etc, they all hit their stride either from their 50th game to their 61st game. Some of you said it had no coorleation, but it does, Big Time!

Now what do you have to say, those that told me i was all wet or wrong?

I never doubted you, but I think the jury is still going to be out on that pending tonight's results.

Me personally? I've been telling my friends and family all along that Romo is a great QB. I agree with you...but the rest of the media/CowboysZone/etc. won't agree until Romo gets that win tonight.

To be honest, I am actually surprised at all the Tony doubters. I guess after seeing who our QBs were after Troy, I have always been a complete supporter of Tony. No matter what, I always have a feeling that even at our worse game, Romo puts us in a position to win.

Romo doubters are sitting on their hands right now waiting to jump out and say how right they were about him. Romo has been playing over the last 3.5 years as well as any QB out there and hopefully he and this team will get over the hump to put all this doubt about him to rest

Romo doubter here. I give him credit, he's finally not choked for once, but this is the first year out of 4 as a starter that he hasn't fallen on his face down the stretch. It's amazing that everyone is willing to sweep the last three failures under the rug because of one good december. Yeah yeah I know its not all his fault, but i'm not blaming the last 3 years solely on him. However, his play was a significant part of it. I will continue to doubt him until he establishes a history of not choking when it matters.

Yet Romo has not been the only QB who has come up short at the start of his career. Even the best in the league Peyton Manning had to listen to the nay Sayers about his inability to win the big games. Romo has played as good as any QB in the league since he was named the starter, it has not always been easy but he has shown the ability and either you have that ability or you don't.

Of course not they are too busy looking to get a different QB. Yet many top QB's have had their share of struggles before ever winning it all and some have yet to win it.

It shouldn't be amazing. His statistics over his career are truly astounding, not just relative to where he came from, but in absolute terms.

Given that, it would seem that the small sample size of "fall[ing] on his face down the stretch" would cause those instances to be viewed, by anyone using an ounce of logic, as the anomaly and not the norm. So the fact that it didn't happen this year, when he and his team are healthy, shouldn't be surprising whatsoever.

Theo, come on man, you're using too much logic and statistics to argue your point.

We don't take kindly to your kindly around these parts.

True! Everyone has to admit... there is still a little doubt with Romo. Games like the Bills game a cpl yrs ago come to mind, he has it in him, to blow a game with what were you thinking type play! This team is completely healhty if Tony cant get to the Super Bowl with a complete starting roster, then when can he?

I dont hate him and I dont love him... I reserve love for the ppl close to me

Heck yea I did not want to get rid of Romo in any fashion every time he step on the field he gave us a chance to win. Now I agreed he had to work on some of his turnover problem but I had no doubts he gave us a chance to win.

What has to be decided is he going to be Danny White or Aikman/Staubach
Superbowl QB.

Danny White was a really good QB if he had won a Super Bowl he would get more fan love than he gets from Cowboy nation.

Peyton Manning just wasn't coming up big in the post season until he finally got the monkey off his back. But he wasn't falling down. He's a career 98.5 passer with 92 TDs and 38 Ints in the month of December for his career. Romo? 80.3 with 21 TDs and 20 Ints, and that's after his stellar December 2009. That comparison at this point is not a valid one yet.

So that takes care of statistics. Logic? An anomaly is when something is strange, unusual, or unique..out of the norm...occurs. 1 out of 4? Which is the anomaly? The 1? Or the 3? Logic would dictate that you can't definitively say one way or another what something is until a pattern has been established. A sample size of 4 is a small one, but so far 1 out of 4 isn't too promising.
