I’m surprised these people don’t know but it’s still a stupid point

20 years ago I probably would have disagreed with you but age has mellowed me.
I think it's really a breakdown of the hardcore fan vs the casual fan (and I'm not saying one is more worthy than another, don't mis understand me)

the hardcore fan watches draft, knows all the players coming out, knows about players personal lives, etc. Totally immersed in everything Cowboys.

The casual fan is interested but not to that level. Still supports the team with their voice and their wallet but just doesn't live/breathe it 24/7/365

Both fans, both sincere, just different levels of fanhood. Nothing wrong with that. Guarantee you every team has similar people in their fanbase.

Yeah I don't think that's a way to gauge but it is apart of his story. To me Ohio State with Zeke and Mississippi St with Dak....I don't know I just correlate those schools with them.

Yeah that’s you. Not everybody cares about his story. The question is how big of a cowboys fan are you. Not how big of a Dak fan. knowing everything about all of the players isnt cowboys related

100%, if you like the NFL style football and not college why care what school they came from... I watch alot of college but i also watch HS football still doesnt make me anymore of a fan than someone who only follows the NFL.

It's really not, and I'm not a college guy. However, as closely as I follow the team I know where most of the players were drafted from. Alot of the time they tell you during the introduction of the television broadcast.

Like most fan bases we do have a ton of casual fans who don't know what the hell they're watching. Jerry likes their money just as much as ours. I don't begrudge them, as long as they stay in their lane.
