We've tried to run in the past just as Linehan has. It is difficult to have a consistent and effective running game with subpar to average OL.

Linehan has never been successful running the ball before but now people think he has willed it into existence. Some of you are so ill-informed, unknowledgeable, poor historians, and don't understand how a team can run the ball they come up with this 'oh Linehan just decided to run'.

Memo to those who the shoe fits: every team in the league loves the idea of running the ball effectively as it opens up the play book. It makes short yardage conversions happen more frequently and it helps scoring in the RZ particularly inside the ten much easier. It makes defenses play you straight.

Teams that run the ball have a higher correlation to winning. But teams who do run effectively still have to pass the ball in this league in order to win. I'm not getting into the dynamics of why that is but both are well known facts to those who can even use google much less understand the game.

The credit goes to the OL and even to the RBs particularly Murray as well as to the offensive coaches who take advantage of those players. Even Romo gets into the package as his play action yada make the run more effective as he backs teams out of the box.

It's a team thing. Even the D gets into it as they are getting the opposing offense off the field enough.

STs could help more as could the offense not turning it over as much. The D could create more turnovers. So there's room for improvement but it all fits together.

So happy to be 4-1. Not very happen with the way we have played toward the end of the games. Got to clean up some of the clock management. I attribute the majority of that to Romo (delay penalties, being predictable when trying to run down play clock). Also Murray HAS to hang on to the ball. If not against teams like Seattle, it will cost us. But in the mean time....Let's GO BOY'S!!!!!!!
