If you want to win, then do the things that help facilitate that effort, build our team with that single goal in mind. Don't build it how you want it or how you want to run it for personal reasons. Troy Aikman more than once has said something that wasn't necessarily the right thing to do. I think some of the opinions here a better than his. You cannot have loyalty in today's NFL Jerry wants to be everyone's friend and that's not how this game is played

Believe it or not. 6-10 is our only way up. Get a better draft pick by missing the playoffs, get Garrett, Rod, Richard, and O’Quinn booted out as soon as the final second of the last game hits. Begin to truly evaluate our HC,DC,OC, and ST Coordinator options and beginning mock drafting.

Here is my view. The outcome is binary.

Glass half full - Roster is solid. They sign Dak and Cooper. Add a real S and DT in the off season. Urban Meyer or another top flight EXPERIENCED coach comes in and whips these losers into shape. 54 is reborn. Dallas will contend next season. Jerry leaves this new head coach alone. Accountability is to the head coach. Team goes on a nice 3 year run. Deep playoff runs before Zeke and the OL need to be replaced. 40% probability.

Glass half empty - Jerry hires another yes man or a weaker, but maybe talented, young head coach. Dak and Cooper signed. Draft and off season brings more help. Expectations are high. Dallas underachieves again going 9-7 quick playoff exit. More promises. More underachieving. 3 years from now. 1-2 playoff wins. No more Zeke but we pay him dead money. OL need revamping. DLaw looks old. Dak gets beat up. 5-6 win season. Fire the coach. Repeat cycle. 60 % probability.

We keep running in circles until major improvements are made and not just cosmetic but that's not likely to happen until Jerry's picture is in the obituaries.............Jerry can keep fooling himself but he's seen his last super bowl that his cowboys will participate in...........it's sad because of what it could have been if greed and ego didn't stand in the way.
