Where do you rank this O-line as of now?

Waters signing makes us better not just because he's potentially our best guard but also because he turns Berny into depth. He would have been serviceable as a starter and I think he'll play well Sunday but now he's gone from serviceable starter to great backup. We can carry two O-linemen as depth to the game and re-enforce all five spots. So say Waters is just good enough to be the clear cut best guard on this team maybe not a pro-bowler but definitely the best we've had at the position for a few seasons. Would say the Cowboys have the best O-line in the division? Considering depth and all that. Beyond that where do you think this unit is compared to the rest of the league? I'm personally excited with the potential this unit has mainly because it's been a bit of let down in recent years to say the least.

As of right now, #2 (on paper). Hard to put them by a WSH line that has proven continuity. I think we have a great balance of brute smash mouth capabilities in the run game and that's all I've wanted for 3-4 years. So I'm happy.

I'd like to see all the new starters in games that count before I start ranking them next to lines that outperformed them by a significant margin last season. I do think this OL is good enough for the offense to pass the ball effectively, which is great. We were before, though, too. Now, however, we also upgraded the RG spot and now have a legitimate top-8 OLs who can all play at a relatively high level in this league. And we've got enough competition that it keeps all of them on their toes. That bodes well for the long season ahead.

too hard to tell just yet...on paper, the unit looks pretty good...but until we see if Fred can continue his growth AND can Leary play every game AND can Waters be effective at 36 years old, then I will reserve judgment
