Where do you guys think he's playing on the d-line this year and what do you think he would be better at? Personally I think he will be DE but some are saying he can play the 1 tech.

I think Tyrone Crawford can play either SDE or 3Tech this season.

I know Bryan Broaddus was touting him as a potential 1Tech, but I feel that would require absolute hits to surface at the spots I mentioned.

Wherever he ends up playing, I'll be happy to see Crawford on the field again. If Ben Bass ever manages to to stay healthy and get on the field, the same goes for him.

As it stands right now, I would assume he's our starting left defensive end. Selvie is the starter at RDE, Bass at RDT and Hayden at LDT.

Ultimately, he'll probably move to whatever position, between strongside end and rush tackle we're unable to shore up in free agency/draft and compete for a starting spot there.

I forgot all about Ben Bass.

Can Bass back up Crawford at LDE?

I think we shouldn't put too many eggs in this basket.

Torn Achilles is a tough injury.

Not like it use to be.

A number of NFLers come back from it every season... Like Church did last year.

The article with Crawford that appeared here in the forum talked about the rehab he's been doing.

Crawford benefitted somewhat because the injury happened so quickly. He's now about 7 1/2 months into rehab.

I havent been impressed with Crawford, but to my credit, thats not saying much. Other posters are more knowledable on him, but from what i seen, I think he can replaced with a daft guy.

He's got some company.

As this point, we can say the same for all of our defensive linemen.

We've got a lot of question marks, hopefully some of them can help.

I expect Crawford to start this year regardless of where they land him up. After all, who else is left?

Still a tough injury. No doubt.

I think from last years drafts it's obvious that Broaddus talks to scouts and not coaches. Crawford at the 1 just sounds like asking a guy to fail because of the repeated combo and double team blocks he would be tasked to hold point against. I've heard him tout it so I cannot just disregard the idea but I question its validity.

We need 1 stud lineman, 1 very good lineman, 1 solid lineman and 1 to just do his damn job. I get sick of people thinking you need pro bowlers at every position, the reality is if the Boys walk away with 2 good lineman at the draft then it should be easier for the others to play better.

right now Crawford to me is what he was last year at this time. A back up SDE rotational player.

I honestly believe that Crawford has the tools to be a very good player for the Cowboys.. Kind of reminds me of hatcher.. Let's see what Marinelli can do with him.. If no Melton/Donald I think he is the 3tech.. If Melton/Donald I think he is the SDE

If we had to play a game tomorrow, this would be our lineup, I am assuming

Selvie. RDE
Crawford. LDE
Hayden. LDT
Bass. RDT

LOL...........we actually might be worse on defense than last year, something I would have never thought possible

Broaddus was saying the staff sees Crawford as a 1, which is mind boggling to me.
