I typically check out at the end of the season and don't return here (regularly, at least) until opening day closes in. Since this is the very first post I've ever seen that mentions Dak Prescott, how good he is/isn't, where he ranks in the pantheon of past/present/future QBs, whether he should be paid like a bum or a hero, etc., I'll weigh in (I know everyone has been waiting for my opinion):
Dak is the GOAT. The Cowboys should lock him up for 10 years at $50MM per. He's going to win 4 Super Bowls for us, so a half billion seems fair. I'm pretty sure we could field 9 total players on offense and still win 10 games with Dak under center. With that said, here is the only list that matters:
1. Dak Prescott - America's Team
2. The old dude in NE b/c he plays within a great system and would win maybe 6 games/year anywhere else.
3. Blake Bortles - The Rams franchise QB as soon as Goff flames out in game 3 this year. He's a HoF lock.
4. Troy Aikman (He'd be #1 if he'd quit yapping and puts some pads on)
5. Roger Staubach (He'd be #1 too if he'd quit making all that money and return to the NFL)
6-32. Does it really matter and does anyone really care?
