Where does this Denver team rank all time?

Specifically where does this Denver team APPEAR to rank all time. Peyton is having his best season yet and this team looks they're four levels above all competition. As of right now what teams have been more dominant then the 2013 Denver Broncos throughout history? I haven't seen as much football as most of you but I can't recall a team that has been this dominant.

That being said I hope we destroy them on Sunday.

Football Outsiders will eventually put it in perspective in a week or two no doubt. Right now they are functioning at a much higher level on offense than San Diego, even though Rivers is second only to top rated Manning in DYAR at this point in the season (yes he is playing that well). The Broncos offensive DVOA is a whopping 50% points better than the Dallas offense...very potent and highly dangerous. Last week they were barely below Seattle for the top spot in team DVOA. After Sunday's beatdown of the Eagles and Seattle's loose defense vs. Houston they will surely be number one.

The Cowboys should RUN!...early and often to control TOP and limit possessions. That is how they were able to beat them in Dallas in '06. Manning is playing too clean right now to hope for 2 ints or 4 turnovers. A shoot-out they have no chance of winning. Find a way to pressure Manning...maybe they can keep it close. I don't see them winning but a blowout would not serve the psyche of the team very well.

they are off to an exciting start if you are a fan of the broncos or the nfl in general...IMO, they have no ranking just yet...I am sure we could dig up other 4-0 starts that were impressive and I will bet that most of them were against inferior opponents...this team is very good and will be favored in every game, but I personally can't rank them up there with the best just yet

I'm not trying to be argumentative but they don't rank. Yet.

They look great 4 games in but the season is very young. We'll see how it all factors out.

I think you can ask how does Peyton rank but the team question seems premature to me.

Agreed.

Let's see what they've done after the super bowl.

NE in 2007 won 18 straight, but the Giants walked away with the Lombardi.

It would be grossly premature to rank any team anywhere after 4 games.

To add a little perspective, lets keep in mind that the records of the 4 teams they've stomped on are: 2-2, 0-4, 1-3, 1-3. And the Broncos are giving up 20+ points per game. Their pass defense is giving up a boatload of yards each game as well. Way too early to start talking about all time rankings. Lets see if they can sustain what they're doing on offense and then revisit this discussion in a month or so.

Just my opinion.

Manning has something ridiculous like 16 TDs and no ints. They move the ball at will. The Patriots are 4-0 right now and I don't think anyone would compare that team to this Denver team. Just imagine the storybook ending if Manning keeps up something resembling this dominance, wins the Super Bowl and rides off into the sunset. Would be the first QB to ever do it with two different teams. I'm salivating (and I'm sure the networks & the league as well) over the prospect of a Luck v. Manning AFC Championship.

If it's not us I'd like for it to be Denver this year, maybe it's jumping on wagen to some extent but you have to admire their performance thus far.

I would go for Peyton too.

But these high powered offenses usually hit a brick wall.... Hard and at the most inopportune time. The Boncos wall would probably be Seattle.

Time to change avatar name to Manning to Welker I guess :p

You have a serious man-crush on the Denver Broncos as of late, heh.

A lot of people afraid to have an opinion here. Sure, none of us have any idea where the team will end up, but right now, I can't recall ever seeing a team this dominant. It isn't just the offense either. The defense, while not stellar, has definitely been solid. Their average margin of victory (22, with the lowest being 16) is as much, or more, than 12 teams average scoring period. That's domination.

I recall when Peyton Manning was 9-0 several years ago, the brick wall was in Irving, Texas. Maybe lightning will strike a 2nd time in Arlington.:)

I don't know they have played 4 games where do they rank? Who knows, if they get bumped out in rd 1 then not very high. By the way No QB has more playoff loses than Peyton Manning. Denver is flying high right now but there is a lot of season left. Before you bury Dallas and praise Denver you may want to see how the season plays out.

They are a fun team to watch. I've always liked Peyton. Good guy.

Right that opinion makes me a teenager. Like its completely out of line. No way they could outscore the broncos

lol you're funny.

I wouldn't be surprised if this Cowboys team beat them. 90's Cowboys? lol we could just play keep away for 4 quarters.

And lol at their OL stopping our DL that was about 10 deep.

I dont know If they would. That d couldnt stop peyton from putting 40 up

That D was solid with a lot of depth. All the offense would have to do is run Emmitt all day to play keep away from Peyton. Their defense could not have stopped that offense, they imposed their will.

People are funny saying a 4-0 team with an average defense could beat a team that won 3 Super Bowls. Charles Haley would make Peyton his girlfriend to put it mildly.
