Where does this schedule scare you?

On paper it looks like a tough schedule. Other than the Bengals, they are all good teams. I think the Commanders and Giants will be improved, although not enough to win the division yet. I have to see who is playing LG and C for Dallas before I can tell what kind of team they will be.

from game 1 through game 17? I don't take any games for granted. I think Cowboys can beat any one of these teams but also know they can lose any one of these games. Football unlike a movie is not scripted, you have to go out and earn a win.

You always have a game or two where its so close a good bounce or a bad bounce or call seals it. It just seams at the present Dallas matches up ok. No Brady, no Mahomes and no Arron Rogers this year in the reg.

Yeah a lot of teams on that schedule are of the caliber of the Cowboys IMO. Well the Cowboys that we saw last year.

When will people stop discussing schedules this far in advance and heck, even months in advance. The biggest example was last season. The AFC East was supposed to be a breeze. We chalked up NE as a loss but thought we would easily beat the other 3. But we went 1-3. That Rams game looked daunting and then we blow them out. And it can flip flop. Before the season started, Chicago looked daunting. Then it looked to be an easy win as the game approached and then we get blown out. You never know how these games will play out. No sense in being afraid of any game.

Pssst....Clappy is gone and his ring of bandits. Most of which took lesser jobs just to keep one. Remember a year or so ago some were afraid Kris Richards was leaving to be a HC? He don't have a job now. Got to keep the faith until proven otherwise.. And yes, this is absurdly early.

There’s going be several L’s on that schedule if we don’t get better defensively and become a consistent team. Facing the Ravens in Baltimore isn’t going to be a cakewalk. Lamar Jackson is capable of making our defense look like the Keystone cops if we don’t improve. Playing the Seahawks in Seattle is never easy. The 49ers won’t be a walk in the park coming off a SB appearance. The Vikings in Minnesota won’t be easy. That’s not an easy schedule and we always manage to lose to a crappy team. I know our draft has a few fans overly excited but I would tap the brakes. On paper we looked a lot better than 8-8 last year but underachieved as usual. It’s hard not to like what we have on paper heading into this season but we’re going to have to see if a new HC and coaching staff makes a difference.

Seahags, vikings, SF and Baltimore. I am sure we will win a couple we should have lost and lose a couple we should have easily won. The eagles are always tough.

The Ravens, 49ers, Seahawks and Vikings games will be a good indicator of where we're at in terms of if we're a legitimate contender or pretender. Depending on what happens in these games it should have some major playoff implications towards potential seeding.

The Browns game will be interesting as well, since they have a chance to be much improved.

I'll be totally candid here in saying that it's not the schedule that scares me at all. It's merely and mostly one cold fact. This young team will be terribly challenged to overcome all of the crucially required adjustments that promise to lie ahead in a possibly shortened season. The odds to beat will be huge.

There will be a new staff to get prepared. There will be new schemes on both sides of the ball. Lastly, there will most likely be a devastating shortage in the amount of the time so necessary for all of the adjustments to be made quickly enough to enjoy serious playoff contention.
Lastly, I'll say this . . . I truly hope I'm totally and drastically wrong about all the above!

That said, that’s an absolutely brutal schedule. Yikes.

There’s no gimme’s on any NFL schedule. We find that out practically every year losing to at least one dud. We found it out last year losing to the 0-5 Jets. If you’re not ready to play you’re going get beat no matter who you face. One of the games on our schedule that concerns me the most is on the road in Cincinnati. It’s the only game on our schedule where practically everyone will be giving us the win. If they’re struggling along with their rookie QB when we face them, hold your breath!
