Most of those Cowboys are headed for the hall of fame. Next question.

Perhaps, but as my Master Qui Gon used to say, live in the moment.

Because someone recalls the players, the games, the Super Bowl years, the many Playoff Games, Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson....Staubach, Merediths, Too Tall, and the many other great legends of our team.....does not necessarily equate to living in the past. ;)

The glorious history of this team is worth reminiscing.......without the past we may not be having the moment.

Remembering is one thing, but constantly saying, oh bring Jimmy back, what would Landry do, oh they were this, they were that, is living in the past.l

It seems after every lost, people start living in the past.

I wonder if you would have thought the same about Landry in 1988 or would you have called a senile old fart who hasn't won a damn thing in 10 years and who should be fired.

I love deion sanders but he had no place on that vid

bill bates woulda been better than deion just for memories sake.

on a completely different note do players go into the hall of fame representing a team? If so I wonder who deion would rep, the falcons I suppose everytime I think of him I remember him in a falcons jersey. Deion however may be the first guy to introduce himself into the hall.

Point understood.....but I don't see that type of a response in this thread.:)

After a loss people react and vent in many different ways......when you have a large group of passionate fans you will see every reaction possible....it's the nature of the beast.

One must learn to be somewhat tolerant of the many personalities being displayed after a win or loss. :)

I have been a COWBOY fan since 1965....Coach Landry was and always will be the FACE of the COWBOYS to me....period!!!!

I also firmly believe that he was in the process of re-building the team...and given the opportunity he would have made another serious Super Bowl run...

As far as using the phrase "senile old fart" and Coach Landry in the same sentence...all I can say is you have proven that there is no such thing as unutterable nonsense.

I grew up in the same neighborhood as landry lived in. The man was a great great guy outside of football everytime I went to his door pedling my school burdens he always was the one to answer his door and always bought more than the other houses did. I remember him for that more than what he represents as a coach of the cowboys. He is the single biggest reason I love the cowboys and always will. anyone who ever speaks ill of him for the rest of my life will raise my ire. He was one hell of a man. I wish we had something like what he represents now.
