Davis was all over the place in reports from all sorts of sources. But not a peep about Columbo outside of a couple of short blurbs that maybe he was going to Denver or NY.

.....hey you stole by thread post from Sat nite.......

If we get colombo signed then id be totally happy with our free agent signings(dont forget gramatica)

It's not like we're adding a letter (Whitten) or removing a letter (Emmit). It's still pronounced the same way. Colombo... Columbo... not a big deal.

Maybe not to you Rick

I think he's in Los Angeles, but you can probably pick up a copy of his first season in local video stores.

"Sorry to bother Speed, but are you sure Columbo was last seen in LA"?

I don't get how some of you seem to think Colombo was barely average. He played well for us in essentially his rookie season & started the entire year at RT. He gave up very few sacks and really manhandled some of his more famous opponents. Doesn't he have a big enough name for some of you? He doesn't have an injury history cause that usually refers to an athlete who has continued variety of injuries over years. All Colombo had was an extremely serious knee injury which took him a long time to heal. Frankly I'm not sure he could have made it back w/o Parcells signing him to 2 year deal but telling him not to worry about 05 but to work hard to be available in 06. Well he did that so well he beat out everybody Cowboys could throw at him--admittedly not much. He's a tough SOB, a workout warrior, and has a nasty disposition which we desperately need on this OL. Also, frankly I think that Colombo & Gurode must play on either side of Davis if you really want him motivated.
